No dates , but supposedly talking to HCW.

The problem with documentaries is that they never tell the whole story, but follow whatever line the Director wishes to take. One only need to look at 'The Crown' to see how Netflix works.

IMO

How weird for the prosecutor to be participating in documentaries while his investigation is still ongoing. It seems so inappropriate. Apart from anything else, it's not as if he's going to reveal anything new or useful. 'We know he did this but we can't tell you why we know this' lost its interest value a good two years ago.

Maybe if HCW spent less time chatting with the media and more on the actual investigation itself, there wouldn't be any need for new docs, particularly ones likely going over the same old same old that's already been covered to coma-inducing levels over the past 3 and a half years. Just a thought.

Good to see that the non-MM related charges have been consigned to a separate thread. :)

Does anyone know if there is a minimum period between the charge date and the trial date? If it's say, three months and the trial date for MM is February 2024, then we should expect a charge in the coming weeks.

Thanks for that , interesting that CB sought to seek out state benefits allotted to Braunschweig as late as 2017 which ultimately shut down the jurisdiction movement.

We'll now see if it was a roadblock to charges in relation to MM,

Also from the article which gives the impression CB was charged over the MM case first.

As well as the abduction and murder of the British toddler in May 2007, he is also due to be charged with five other serious sex crimes.

This is interesting because it confirms a possibility that I mentioned a few times. It is not uncommon in Germany for people to maintain a fake registered address. This is done with the connivance of the tenants or the landlord in order that you can receive mail to the address and pretend to live there. So it seems at least for a while he was pulling this scam - presumably with the help of the landlord.

Whichever it is the fact remains that he lied and in the process of maintaining the lie the District Court in Braunschweig was misled.

FF acted on the information given to him by CB - so he was also lied to

That paints a very poor picture for very little gain. Except postponing the inevitable for a few months.

I don't follow.

The Braunschweig Court was well aware he didn't actually live at the registered address - he fled that flat much earlier

ETA: unless this is some other address

Great news if true but i find it odd that HCW would spill this bombshell tip to some tiny outlet outside of Germany
HCW himself said recently they may not have the evidence to indict.

I said and asked before, what is the rational for HCW a German prosecuter or spokesman to give exclusives to a paper for British expats in Spain with a limited readership concerning a German suspect in relation to an alleged offence in Portugal.

Let's see if any other outlet gets this scoop.

I don't believe for one second that OP would have this news and the UK tabs would shrug their shoulders and not bother to report it!
