Madeleine McCann: German Prisoner Identified as Suspect, #41

Looks like the rear wing is about to undergo a paint job or has had a new wing that's why it looks grey imo? The boot has been stripped out too. The rest looks black. Can't remember where I read it but IIRC he had dozens of vehicles seized from the box factory.
The dusty one is probs the aubergine coloured one as it has the jaguar on the bonnet. The boot pic car is a Daimler IMO if it's the black one in the pic.

There are 2 cars in this pic......

The one with the chemicals is a different car - still an XJ but an earlier model. The tail lights are different and the headlights would be rounded like the picture below - more reminiscent of the older 60s and 70s Jags.

I don’t know how many cars he had but this is not the same Jag.

That's what I said.
The boot pic is a different car to the pic of the front of the Jag.

Doesn't answer all your questions .. but this article talks a bit about searches / evidence etc , and CB defence arguments ..

My recollection is: guy’s dog goes onto the property and finds Charlie decaying, he alerts the policewoman, perhaps his partner, investigation finds CB crashed his van near where IG disappeared, he is then investigated for IG and a search warrant for the box factory is issued.

I agree that car was shown but this car - the one with the chemicals - I think is an earlier model and in grey. It’s at 19:54 and specifically described as the same model but not the same car.
Am wondering if there are different versions of the 60 minutes doc , depending on which country are in ?
The version I've seen doesn't show this image at all ..

The dusty one is probs the aubergine coloured one as it has the Jaguar ornament on the bonnet. The boot pic car is a Daimler IMO if it's the black one on the right in the pic, so not a Jag.

This pic from 19.52 ( Sun “ Inside The Secret Evidence “ YT ) also looks like some images have seen of different versions of the Jaguar XJ6 ( from the usual CB car photo ) , or Daimler Double Six .

Seems like CB had access to many cars indeed ..

After studying the tail light in the documentary pic I'd now say It's a 1984-1987 Jag XJ6
This light is for that model and years.

You’re probably right , although some models of the Daimler Double Six have very similar features ..

Yes, that’s correct. The claret Jag - reregistered car - was a newer model - 1987 - 1992 I think. The Daimler, I think was the same shape but it had a double-six or V12 engine. CB’s was the Jag variant.

Yes, same car; different engine.

My recollection is: guy’s dog goes onto the property and finds Charlie decaying, he alerts the policewoman, perhaps his partner, investigation finds CB crashed his van near where IG disappeared,

CB had a fender bender near Neuwegersleben, where he lived at the time, ninety kilometres from Diakoniewerk Wilhelmshof where Inga vanished. That proves only he was where he lived at the time, the rest is the work of tabloids.

Going back to 2020 and the appeal, it was about his Jag, so at that time they were in possession of that one so there's no reason to suppose the one with the substances is not the one and the same and repeating HCW we have no forensics means no matter which vehicles they have there is no link between CB and MM.

Broadly, I agree with you.

The way The Sun doco presents the information is that the car with the chemicals is the same car as the car in the appeal. The inference is therefore that the car that CB was driving around PDL circa 2007 had ether in the boot which may be how he secreted MM from 5A. It’s part of a story aimed at influencing thought. I wonder if the exclusive was given to The Sun providing the info was presented in a certain way.

The actual facts are that CB had another car - which he may have been painting - and this car had chemicals in the boot. It has no meaning in relation to CB’s criminal activities.

I think The Sun’s doco is PR. I am interested to explore the reasons around that because that could give us more information about the evidence the BKA has and where they are trying to go with the investigation.

I don’t think there is much we can learn from the car, more the way we are being fed information.

The first pic here is consistent with the back of the car I showed in my screenshot - definitely not the claret XJ6 from the appeal.

There is/was no forensics - they definitely have a link between MM and CB otherwise we wouldn't be here

So there were 2 searches? One first without a warrant another later with one? So the cars and other things that were seized are legal?

Well the rest that they found there paints a horrid picture of CB - nothing to do with the tabloids

I’m not qualified to answer that. It’s possible that if the second search is predicated on the first, it’s also illegal.
