True but then the article says that they were dismissed because they were small. Maybe they were of a complete skeleton then . But it still bugs me - could they drain the reservoir?!
I think they’d need irrefutable intelligence that she was in the reservoir to be given the go ahead to drain it. IMO The only way that will come is if/when CB confessed.

"MADELEINE McCann suspect Christian Brueckner could face three extra months behind bars after the woman who paid his fine asked for her money back. The mystery donor - an ex-cop who investigated the suspect - settled a £1,300 outstanding court fine allowing Brueckner, 48, to walk free in September.
But the former German FBI agent has now emailed prosecutors pleading she has made a “mistake” - and begged for the funds to be returned to her.
Officials are taking the request seriously and were last night looking at how the funds could be sent back".................
I think the damage is done. One of the worst kept secretes is that the ‘researcher’ has received donations via fundraising from a group. So if this refund remarkably works, there’ll be cheeky amt money ready for transfer

as far as I remember this Perlin pseudo science isn’t allowed in Germany so it wouldn’t help anyone not even the defence to prove anything. Her dna was in the back of the car? Jesus her complete dna wasn’t found and the dogs did not alert inside the car!
Eddie alerted to the key fob and Keela did not bark at all

Maybe Othram could help, they are well connected to this site.

I’ve been thinking about this article and others too that referred to the search ‘clearly moving’ elsewhere but I haven’t seen any other locations mentioned that ‘we’ were advised of within those 21 locations.

Were we thrown a bit of a red herring to keep media and knowledge secret of other search locations….

Eyewitness: 'It's clear search activity has moved'

Our correspondent Dan Whitehead, who is in Praia da Luz, says police activity has moved.

"The focus yesterday for police was on disused farm buildings, close to where the prime suspect Christian B lived.

"It's clear that the activity has moved elsewhere at the moment."

He says the ground is hard and dense, and that poses a challenge for officers.

"German police are leading this investigation because of that prime suspect Christian B," he adds.

"He denies all involvement."
It is a case which has been constantly changing but the focus has been firmly on CB since investigators were perhaps prematurely forced into naming him.
CB has been intensively investigated concerning numerous offences unrelated to MM. While in the background information keeps on coming in about CB's time in Portugal.

So holding onto the thought (edit spelling) that the searches moved- did German police put less people on the ground in locations that hadn't media presence to avoid detection?

We get Foral…. Worth a deep look at this area and surround/ routes/timings/ distances/ waterways.
There are reports of him digging at Foral.

Foral……
I saw that too and initially thought that area needed checking... Probably still does.. dodgy place all round a makeshift orphanage with 16 year olds being bought back by an armed CB pregnant...Syringes and drug paraphernalia lying around and some guy NFs boyfriend I think Roman who's never been mentioned really

So has there been activity we haven’t seen in the media- low key etc.

In a german Interview HCW said she died in Luz, on the German bka side it’s mentioned the date of the crime happened 3. of May.
For me it looks like she was killed soon in the Luz area. Whatever they have, it might place the crime close to Praia da Luz,

Perlins method isn’t allowed. It’s no science you can bring to a German court
Btw the Germans do not investigate the boot of the car…. Maybe the defence so good luck!

Can you provide links please? Which DNA would they test by the way? Is there anything left from the scene?
Where the dogs alerted, 16 DNA samples were obtained and tested in the UK.

There are some tiny bones in our body and children tend to have more bones than adults which eventually fuse. That is not to say an expert cannot differentiate the two but sometimes they really need an anthropologist to check them. All this again with the caveat that they didn't find complete skeletons! Interestingly human bones share similarities more closely with canine bones!

An anthropologist studies people in their environment.

Is Perlins method the same as Othram?

The problem with this is that I think there is no relevant available DNA to study. As far as I've understood, all DNa(or potential DNA) collected from the scene by the PJ was destroyed. The DNA collected with the dogs assistance seemingly has no impact to the BKA case. Unless the PJ have kept the samples in which case I think they would have already been liaising with the BKA (as happened with CB's hair in 2018).

The main issue for me with regards the DNA or forensics from 5a is that CB could have been really quick and left no forensic signature behind unlike in DM's case where he was there hours and they got a hair. He was forensically aware.

Something or nothing.

The woman, identified as a former cop with Germany's FBI who claims to have been involved in wiretapping his cell, is now asking for her money back, throwing Brueckner's early release into disarray.

The former police officer said she made a mistake, which officials are reportedly taking seriously.I

Had CB left verifiable traces in 5A his lawyer would probably raise doubts that he could have had access in the course of his employment as a handyman.
Snip

CB reportedly worked at the Portuguese resort where M M disappeared in 2007.

Other aspect to this is the near on radio silence from employees of the resort & people who stayed there at that time. As far as I’m aware journalists have tried hard to get an interview but have had no luck.

One eye witness testimony is that the blond man with pitted facial skin had a pen attached to a piece of string attached to his trousers. It may be that he was waitering somewhere. The times of the sightings are early morning, midday & afternoon. Unlikely he was lurking 12 hours a day because he’d have been seen more. Could the reason he was lurking at 8:30am be because he had work, for example at 9am?

Yes.
I think this is ‘ugly man’ who wore the black leather sports jacket that had several pockets with metal zips.
Alternatively the string pen could have been a prop to make himself look less suspicious. IIRC CB liked a prop- like the Bible in Italy for instance.
I think one of the maintenance guys also ran a pool cleaning service, so there could be a link to CB there too? IIRC he’s the guy who fixed the blind and did the washing machine demo.

This gets more bizarre by the day.
