Good thinking, No Stone Unturned. I think you're right, they're going to argue that JL was a rent boy too. But so what?!?!

Well, "but so what" I tend to think that Leclair is going to suggest that JL and LRM knew each other for a relatively long time. As rent boys, living that life. And as for the "so what" I think Leclair is going to suggest that JL knew LRM had a propensity for severe violence and even had a liking for murdering someone. It's my opinion that Leclair will suggest that if JL was in the least bit careful he never would have entered that apartment with LRM.

Leclair will put the blame totally on JL/the victim.

This is so sad and so sickening...........

Well I'm not so sure he'll put the "blame" on the victim. It appears that he's trying to put the blame on LM's mental illness. But how is he trying to do that? How is JL's sexual promiscuity or whether he knew LM for a period of time before coming to that apt going to prove that LM suffered some type of episode when they were in his apt? Is he just trying to eradicate the "luring" aspect of the crime?

O/T...there is a case in Barrie right now of a man who killed two women in a hotel as part of a suicide pact but did not go through with killing himself. His name is Mark Dobson and he is also using the NCR defence. His trial will likely conclude long before this one does. Should be interesting to see if he is deemed NCR.

Satanic killer 'not criminally responsible,' court hears

BARRIE - The “gods of hell” told Mark Dobson to continue cutting the throats of two women during a Satanic cult killing, a court heard Tuesday.
Dobson, 24, of Barrie, is on trial for the murders of his girlfriend, Mary Hepburn, 32, of Barrie, and Helen Dorrington, 52, of Cold Lake, Alta., at a motel.

Dobson has pleaded not guilty to two counts of first-degree murder. His lawyer wants the court to find him not criminally responsible

Pretty sure that anyone who was in contact with LM has learned their lesson and they're very cautious about what they do. Some may still have some form of PTSD from their encounters.

Didn't really "sleuth" this case from the beginning. Caught a few things here and there but definitely didn't read about his finances. We've heard so far in the trial that he charged the guy from Florida $150 for an hour of "escort" service. Don't know if there are other clients but at $150 per hour I guess you can make up $10,000 in a short period of time, especially if you're planning something and will need some cash for an escape. We also heard that his airfare was put on an Amex card. Obviously never paid for. I wonder if he had other credit cards in multiple names maxed out with charges and perhaps cash advances?

Just the fact that he used a credit card to book the flight, with a return date, and then alluded police by using cash only when he got there shows he knew what he was doing as far as avoiding detection IMO.
