I know this may sound far fetched but could the pilot and co-pilot got into a physical altercation? It seems working that closely with someone it could happen. Maybe over a woman or something else. I believe it was reported a friend of the pilots was sentenced to 5 years in prison only a day or two before. I'm sure his emotions were already heated from that.

I don't think this is all that likely, I think that in a professional environment where you were flying a plane (and had the lives of over 200 people in your hands) you probably wouldn't get into such an extreme argument that you turned the plane around and flew for 7 hours in the wrong direction.

But then, who knows. We have next to no information about anything, so at this stage, not many things can be taken off the table. :scared:

IMO, it's not fair to the pilot, who by all accounts was an extremely caring and generous man, to villify him with no evidence of wrong doing. If investigators find something related to the disappearance of the plane on his computer, that's the time to release it. Not before.

I appreciate you thinking outside the box! It's possible, but IMO Captin Shah seems like a pretty no-nonsense type of pilot, no reprimands in his past that we've been made aware of and boy don't you believe we'd know about it if there were!

I am just now finishing this b/c I went to the blog page whose link is provided in the above article. WOW Interesting stuff. I was very wary of the idea of how one 777 could possibly get in the "shadow" of another 777, but apparently this guy thinks it's pretty easy.

It would also maybe explain the zig-zagging of the plane (trying to get into as close of a good position as possible).

It's still hard for me to "visualize" this, though. I just cannot visualize it unless I have flown a big plane myself high in the skies (which I obviously haven't). Never flown anything.

But this guy is a pilot and he seems to think it's possible and he says that he has talked to many 777 pilots who tell him it would be possible.

If you guys click on that link, though, look at the VERY small space between Singapore Air and 370 at 370's point of last military radar. That is very much a coincidence.

But of course now that I have looked into this idea, of course tomorrow I might have a completely different idea.

The pilot controlled everything as the captain of an airship. Have no reason whatsoever to besmirch his image but anyone in control of a situation who held the lives of 200+ people is going to get scrutinized whether it's him or anyone else. I wish the best for him and his family as well as all those who he carried on his aircraft and those who await their loved ones. Do I know that his actions are nefarious? No, but they were odd. May they be just odd.

The day before the flight was on a Friday. That second house thing has never been odd to me.

My ex inlaws did the same thing, every Friday off they went to their lake home. If they skipped a week, that would have been odd.

The media feeds us half the story and throws in a little untrue twist to make it more newsworthy -- "The family 'moved out' the day before the flight." "Oh wow", we all say, "that's SO suspicious." Later when we find out that the family didn't actually move out but merely went to their 2nd home, we're not able to let it go....nope, must be something odd about it or the media wouldn't have reported it.

I think at this point the media could report that the pilot put on clean underwear the morning of the flight and some people would say it was odd, that maybe he expected to be deceased soon and didn't want to be found wearing dirty underwear. Sometimes I think we're the media's puppets.

Re: many fewer people on the thread tonight - I think everyone is just catching up on their sleep. (at least those in the US and parts of the world where it's sleepy-time now). I know I have been very lacking in sleep in these days following this and waiting for new developments. Not that I'm complaining, not in the least, I wish the people on that plane could have sleep-less nights for the rest of their lives as long as they are alive. I can't even imagine what their families must be going through, and just the fatigue they must be feeling at this time. Not only of course the worry and panic over their loved ones, but eveyrthing else they are dealing with - being away from their homes, their routines, their environments. Those things on top of everything else, just imagine the fatigue. As well as all the people working on the investigations, I know some of us including me have criticized them a lot, but they are probably working pretty much around-the-clock. Both in Malaysia and China. Also Aussies now. US and others of course, but probably not to that degree. And now possibly the crew who will be involved in the possible recovery of wreckage - in that choppy, fearsome ocean. I saw some video today which looked very scary of the waves and the winds.

It's just like every possible worst thing happening in every area of this. Everything going wrong in every area of it.

Well let's pray that tomorrow brings the families a little closer to the truth....whether that be by the wreckage in the ocean, or if not that, then please let the investigation move on in some other way. One way or another. If those are not the pieces in the ocean, well then find a lead some other direction. Just anything, at this point.

“It may well be an ISO (shipping) container,” he said. “ISO containers come in roughly that length ... and unfortunately the image is not very clear.

“The imagery specialists have gone and zoomed in on this photo ... you see something that’s just below the surface, and the waves are just detracting from the clarity of the picture. It is not really clear exactly what it is. Now, some people have said it might be part of a wing, it could be part of the fuselage, probably not. On the balance of probabilities it may well be a submerged, semi-submerged ISO container. So I think we need to be very circumspect about how we view this and how optimistic we are about what we might find if and or when we find it.”

I think the lower numbers be explained by the wreckage find. I think finding out it most likely crashed takes all of the intrigue out of it. JMO

Been praying for closure, a joyous one if possible for the families and the passengers and crew on board. Feel sorry for the Malaysian people trying to give press conferences when there is nothing they can say and having the spotlight on them so brightly in all this confusion. Everyone in the world is staring at you, NOW tell us somethinG!!! Poor people.

I agree with the above poster who pointed out about the family members suffering from fatigue and not being in their own homes. Especially the older ones.

I wonder if something different than the current having them in a hotel couldn't be offered to them? Some means of communication for each of them - I don't know, maybe an ipad for each of them or something like that - and assist them each in returning to their own home. Perhaps assisting other friends and family members to stay with them in their home.

I have been through a couple of very stressful incidents in my life. I had a child who was critically injured and hospitalized in a foreign country. It was torture for me to get there and torture for me to stay there in a hotel - by myself - until my child was released from ICU two weeks later. I longed for the comfort of my own home when I left the hospital each evening. After ICU release, an air transport brought me and my child back to the U.S. where an ambulance met us at the airport and took us straight to a hospital here in my city.

I noted that one of the family members said that people are getting sick and they were asking what was going to be done for them to give them medical care. This is an indication, to me at least, that these poor people somehow need to be convinced that it is not "giving up" for them to return to their own homes, their own doctors, and take care of themselves so that if their loved one does return they will be able to be of assistance to them.

I also read something about if something is found that the family members would be flown to Perth? IMO that's a very bad idea.

forgive me if this has already been mentioned (when threads get long during my absence i tend to read every other page)... but on abc world news tonight it was reported that the P-8 search planes are capable of "seeing a basketball" on the ocean surface "from 16 miles away". i thought it was an interesting description of their capability.

where I found this: This information comes off the back of a revelation files had been deleted on February 3 from Capt Shah’s home flight simulator, just over a month before MH370 vanished.

Am I the only one who didn't realise that the computer files were deleted more than a month before the flight? I thought it was just a few days before. IMO, this makes it even less likely that there is anything incriminating in the deleted game files.
