To me clinically, if this is case it fits it with flying to Indian ocean not being able to be found out that he killed himself ?

Clinical experience, public perceptions, and research have indicated that the Indian community has been over-represented in attempted suicide and suicide rates in Malaysia. A computerized search of the literature back to 1966 on suicidal behaviour and ethnicity in Malaysia was performed supplemented by other relevant published and research material. There was a consistent pattern of higher rates of attempted suicide and suicide for the Indian population compared with other ethnocultural groups. Patterns of migration experiences, religious and cultural beliefs, higher suicide risk in rural areas, http://tps.sagepub.com/content/38/1/51.short

If this is the case and it was 'suicide' IMO it's mass murder not suicide. However, I don't believe this was the situation.

I just had a horrible sci-fi kind of picture in my head, reason no debris being found is that the airplane is perfectly intact on bottom of ocean :(

It would have to go from a jetliner designed to fly to hovercraft in a flash !!!!!!!!!!!

Poof!

But things would still float, would they not?
I don't think it's perfectly intact. If it hit the water going as fast as it was, it would have (or should have) broken into pieces.

No I don't really think this...it just occurred to me.

Just emerging family issues coming to light now -----the day before with the incarceration could be the final straw ----most think suicide is an impulsive act. It is not absent of psychosis/ delusions etc. It is enduring battle not to see a meaningful future and a battle "not to"" end living

and to me the fact that he attended (the verdict in the sodomy case) meant outcome in this was important to him that is meaningful information in terms of his state of being he cared about outcome which is congruent to all reports that he was active in opposing current govt ................. lets snot forget MAl airlines is a GOVT entity....................

If this is the case and it was 'suicide' IMO it's mass murder not suicide. However, I don't believe this was the situation.

I have decided to end the floating mangosteen experiment after 5days. Conclusive result is that it floats very well in non salt water but I would imagine it may even float higher in the Ocean as isn't sea water more buoyant? It has not broken down at all and looks exactly the same as the day I bought it. The first photo below is it after I took it out of the water and dried it, sitting next to a golf ball. The second is it cut in half.

Thanks so much for doing the experiment.

A lot of us were interested in whether they would float or not.

I think it is valid only because they used a child in the story I think we shall find some mental concerns in time
just IMO !

It's all pretty weird that someone even told all this to the Daily Mall. I feel sorry for Captain Shah's wife and kids, they are in a difficult situation. And, now a whole ton of news sites have picked up on that article claiming it is basically true. I heard the family was sort of in hiding due to the media coverage and being bombarded.

n unknown aircraft flying around should be a threat

after 9-11 with the homeland releasing increased threat to aviation three weeks before without a doubt!

The Department of Homeland Security on Wednesday told airlines about a potential new shoe-bomb threat and urged them to pay extra attention to flights from overseas into the United States.

Several officials familiar with the advisory told NBC News that "very recent intelligence" considered credible warns of possible attempts to attack passenger jets using explosives concealed in shoes.

Oh ok I see, fair enough... I'm so tired, sorry I got the wrong end of the stick with your post

I have said before I feel a bit sorry for Malaysia, I don't think many/any countries could cover this well. I mean, a whole jet full of people has vanished, it could happen anywhere. Though I suppose a lot of Western airlines will have "top of the range" locating devices.
All is well, I should have been more specific in the first post.

LOL, it depends on what time of day it is. Information is in a circling pattern it seems. It keeps circling until it is time to use it again.:twocents:

They keep regurgitating it. :floorlaugh:

Morning Waddles and everyone hope your having a good weekend. It has been the longest three weeks ever since the plane went missing time has dragged in. I have not watched so much news since 9/11.

No Malaysian press conference today according to mainstream media tweets unless there is a significant development. I will post if I find out there is an Australian press conference.

I think the needle in the haystack needs to be changed to the mouse on the moon eating some cheese!!

At this point I think they all should shut up until they have a cargo door, a safety card , a flap, a wing ,whatever keep looking but just say nothing until................................................

Exactly! Since now they're calling everything MOST credible lead yet or MOST promising lead yet how much more most can it get? I thought the guest's response was MOST amusing!
