People are offended because they seem to have difficulty with statements.

When the PM states "flight mh370 ended over the indian ocean"....what could that mean? That the passengers are on floats sipping martinis?

I think it is adding insult to injury. IMO

Ive alwayst felt they needed a professional spokesperson to help them. Sometimes it is not good to have officials be the spokesperson. They have come across very cold and callous to me at times and I dont think they realize how awful they sound. Or they do and dont care which would be worse.

:sigh: I wish just one piece could be found soon for these families. They could live a lifetime in denial if nothing is found.

On another note, was just reading about Japan Airlines 123. Well, I am again reminded of the wing repair on MH370. I thought I was just paranoid thinking that could be an issue. I understand these planes cost more money than I can comprehend. It does seem that once one is damaged metal fatigue is too risky, imo....

Unfortunately, I think these guys usually function in a much more insular environment. It seems to me (my opinion) that this is coming off as a side result of being too authoritarian.

Imo, the Chinese government would be the same (as Malaysia) if not much worse, were circumstances reversed...

Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott didn't directly respond to reporters' questions about how confident he was in the area investigators are searching.

"We are searching a vast area of ocean, and we are working on quite limited information," he said. "Nevertheless, the best brains in the world are applying themselves to this task. ... If this mystery is solvable, we will solve it."

I really think all countries need to tell the MAL govt that they have (NOW) to start to give any and all information asked . or we are going to have to pull out our resources

It is counterproductive for all of us to spending this money , while you all are impeding us from determine if the plane is in the water or somewhere preparing to hurt kill people somewhere else

you have two hours - or we all are going bye bye

Late Night Live with Phillip Adams | The Mystery of MH370

Several countries are still searching the southern Indian ocean for debris from the missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370. The disappearance of the Boeing 777 on a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on March 8th has led to a plethora of conspiracy theories in the media. Aviation technology expert , Professor Peter Ladkin analyses how the global media has covered the mystery disappearance of flight MH370.

http://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/category/nation/2014/03/31/hisham-pm-never-said-mh370-had-crashed/

The statement made by Hisham that the PM never stated mh370 crashed, but rather, ended in the Indian ocean really offends me, as a somewhat intelligent person. These kind of head games are just unacceptable and completely offensive.

Responding to a question posed during today’s daily briefing, Hishammuddin said that claims of the plane having crashed was “totally erroneous”.
“He (Najib) said that based on analysis, Inmarsat and AAIB concluded that MH370′s last position was in the middle of the Indian Ocean.
“He also said that it was a remote location, far from any possible landing sites.
“However, there was no mention of a crash or that there were no survivors at all,” said Hishammuddin.

The great post earlier is menaingful.

CNN first reported on the Malaysian hijacking plot in 2012 (so its not like he is just messing with AMerica after MAL 370)after Badat revealed it during an earlier trial in New York. Badat started cooperating with authorities after his arrest in the UK in November 2003.

According to a senior U.S. counterterrorism source, Mohammed originally intended the Malaysian group to participate in the Southeast Asian attack.

The source said intelligence agencies were aware of the plot well before Badat was arrested and Malaysian authorities took steps to neutralize the threat by making arrests.

"The Malaysians got on top of this," he told CNN. (this is years ago) did they mess up on March 8 --that is why so much deception???

March 12, 2014

A senior intelligence official would only say American intelligence was “aware of the Malaysia 2001 plot.”

.....had "set in motion" another plan to hijack planes, this time using terrorist recruits from Southeast Asia. Bush said the operation was foiled when one of the plotters was arrested in Asia. At the time, however, several counter-terrorism officials said the plot was not "definitive" and never got past the "thought" stage.

oh my lord:

But if they were going to use one of Badat's shoes, the Malaysians had to make an additional purchase. In Karachi, they bought an identical pair of shoes so they could match up his explosive footwear. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Not sure if I want to read anymore!

Does anyone know, if the towers would be located in the part of the country where the plane flew over after it u-turned???

In the previous thread i had listed links to several articles regarding threats that could have impacted MH370. I am too lazy to go back, but, the Al Qaeda threat was one of several. IMO it would be criminal to discount any terrorist threat. After all, isn't our post 9/11 motto "see something, say something". It is in my town.

RE Saajid Badat,

I am trying to find out (having trouble) the DATE this dude made comments about MAL / shoe bombs /etc.

My thinking when reading that post (great find) was if he said that before the 8th of March that is really creepy -- no?

The article, published 3/15, states that he told the court "last tuesday" which could mean the 11th or the 4th. I believe he testified at OBL son in law's trial.

In evidence in a court case last Tuesday, Saajid Badat, a British-born Muslim from Gloucester, said that he had been instructed at a terrorist training camp in Afghanistan to give a shoe bomb to the Malaysians.
Giving evidence at the trial in New York of Sulaiman Abu Ghaith, Osama bin Laden’s son-in-law, Badat said: “I gave one of my shoes to the Malaysians. I think it was to access the cockpit.”
Badat, who spoke via video link and is in hiding in the UK, said the Malaysian plot was being masterminded by Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the principal architect of 9/11.

Jeez --- the shoes and lower halfs being cropped of the "2 men with stolen passports." seems like the ONLY plausible "theory" right now.

To follow up on my last post I think this article adds to this theory this plane was bought down by a shoe bomb .... Cropped out lower halves of two Iranians with stolen passports...

but didn't one picture include a full body shot, shoes included? why only chop the legs/shoes off one "suspect"? or was the other picture doctored/photoshopped and given new legs? :scared:

Todays stuff about goodnight MAL 370 has no meaning or importance it certainly can make one wonder if they cant get that right and be honest about such a nothing deal well what else...............

Totally agree! Why has the voice not been officially identified in this length of time? It seems an easy answer is not forthcoming from Malayasia, so why would they be offering answers to the many other questions being asked.

The Malaysia government is hiding something! Their actions in the beginning were CYA, and with the passage of time, they are realizing the monster they have created. My belief is they have the answers the world is seeking in what happened to this plane.

These are my opinions and ideas.

This is from March 20, but is interesting as the guest is Anwar Ibrahim.

Late Night Live with Phillip Adams | MH370 and Malaysian society

The disappearance of flight MH370 has exposed some fundamental problems within Malaysian society. LNL takes a closer look at the elitist nature of the government and its lack of transparency, the deep seated problems within Malaysian Airlines as well as the resilient nature of its multi-racial society.

They MAL have lost control of lies --- it is moving more and more toward terrorist and IMO more and more that the plane is not down

scary

Free Scale up next..............they have just stalled so they have more time to complete whatever they have planned with the plane just IMO

a n d ! Why is it not "odd" that Britain, US, France leaders noone has said one word since this began that in and of itself just abnormal!!!

Its like the biggest news story since 9-11 is not going on - whats that about??

Over here Obama addressed the mudslide - this is not political here on my part , but it is indicative of something CIA ish FBI ish Homeland Security ish

I really wouldn't worry about what Malaysia is disclosing. I think if they were hiding anything significant, the U.S., Australia, and some others would not tolerate it. I don't know if they'd necessarily put public pressure on them, but I'd think we'd see more evidence of infighting and battles for control. In this scenario, Malaysia's information is probably not that crucial or hard to come up with. Malaysia may be spinning the presentation of certain things, but I don't believe they have any useful info. I assume they are either baffled, or the countries involved do know what happened and are all keeping it quiet until the wreckage is found.

Agree, this is more about them falling back on their usual mode of operation and saving face, than them hiding anything sinister.

My question is....since the MAL PM never said that MH370 crashed...why are they scouring the bottom of the Indian Ocean? Just my own curiosity.

Because his conclusion is that the plane is it the bottom of the ocean. He left it to them to infer further because he has no wreckage at this point to show them it's a fact.

If he says: "it's still missing. Period," everyone will say, "you must know something. You're hiding that they're alive!" Etc, etc.

If he says: "it crashed in the ocean and they're all dead" everyone will say (is saying): "how dare you say that! You have no proof!"

So he led them to a logical conclusion. "The flight ended in the middle of the ocean. There is nowhere there to land a plane."

And no one is happy with that, either. But it's correct according to the info he's drawing his conclusion from. But he cannot give proof if he has none.

What would have been a better statement? Leaving it open and saying nothing? My personal feeling is that would be cruel based on the Inmarsat info. But either way he's damned whatever he says because regardless, it's torture for the families. So sad.....
