So, are we back to where we were at the beginning, off when they said it turned around or in a totally new place at this moment?

Whaaat? Really?

:tantrum:

:banghead:

Now, now ;), it may have taken time for the objects to surface and I doubt Vietnam has the sophistication for real-time satt imagery like China or USA does. :twocents:

Go figure. It has been 4 days.

ETA need to consider currents and go forward from there.
Exactly. Besides they are talking about the surface area. Not what is under water. I am hopeful they finally find it now. Those poor families might still have hope.

Yes. They just released them to the public today

It is so frustrating - ok if they need to keep stuff secret whatever, but it seems like they do not move resources until they all figure out if they want to go public.

Their first repsonsiblity should be to get folks to the right place, not keep everyonoe in the wrong place while they all hold cladestine meetings to determine how to play everyone -- it maddening

This is what I did (not sure if it's been posted on this thread yet - we discussed it last night on the previous thread):

Guy on oil rig who wrote letter:

- last speed: 471 knots
- distance between two points: 586.5 km (316.85 nm)
- time at same speed: .67 hours = ~ 40 minutes
- last communication per Malaysian airline on radar: ~1:30am
- est arrival time at that point: ~2:10am

(coordinates changed from degrees to metric)

the pic below has oil rig and drift and chinese objects in it. maybe someone can resize it and upload..or add to belimom's map?

I still don't think its the wreckage.

I'll wait till I see clear on site photo's before I believe it.

There's a lot of stuff from the typhoon still floating around there and that doesn't look like much in those pics.

um, I don't think a second look is going to do any harm. Sheesh, not the time for pizzing patches but that seems to be the general running theme in this case among the countries and agencies involved in this fiasco.

Helps a lot! And it also explains the military turn around in terms of the three spottings!!! But is this where the China folks images are also heading?

Now what? This is becoming truly mind boggling. I just don't understand how this plane can simply vanish. This is like something out of a Tom Clancy novel ...

We are back to square one ... we know nothing more than we did last Friday.

The difference is Vietnam flew over it, and China has gone through the satt images like forensic evidence. Vietnam will believe it when they see it on the sea. That's :moo:

I also believe there is possible miscommunication and/or too many cooks in the kitchen with language barriers etc. I am not going to name incidents where this has happened... hope you get the drift.

@lxxx Priority is to find the objects which will have shifted from the original location due to maritime and climatic conditions SJ

True. Now that they have satt imagery, ships should be out there now.

BBM ~ My thoughts exactly but your way of saying it is more creative! :floorlaugh:

If all of these sighting are unrelated...there sure is a lot of weirdness going on out there, over and in water, etc...
