Naturally the focus at this point is going to be on the pilot and co-pilot as they are the ones responsible for the aircraft while they are in command. There are events which took place during the flight which cannot be explained as being the result of anyone else, such as the transponder being shut off, the ACARS system being disabled, the flight trajectory being changed. However the ascent to 45,000 ft. with a rapid descent and erratic flight patterns seem to indicate a possible fight for control of the aircraft, as in someone in the cockpit attempting to overtake the controls. That part would appear to be done by someone other than the flight crew, however, it is after the other systems were turned off which is part of the mystery. In addition, other than the pilot's political interests, there does not appear to be a reason for him to have either flown the plane way off course in order to crash it in the Indian Ocean hours later, or take it to some unknown country.

The transponder and ACARS could have been disabled by someone other than the pilot/co-pilot though, right? I'm just trying to think of a scenario that doesn't involve the pilot. If it was pilot suicide, why go through all the trouble of disabling everything and flying miles off course to crash into the Indian Ocean? It would have been easier to have just crashed into the South China Sea after take-off.

When I click that link, I just get taken to a screen full of blue tiles.

Click the middle tile and it will show up. I was having this issue too.

I don't see the plane being in the ocean either. If they went to all the trouble to fly in stealth mode...they went somewhere. If not, they would have taken it straight into the ocean right where they were...nosedive and done.

My mind didn't even go there - but surely the demand would have been made by now - maybe that was the intent and then it crashed? It's an interesting theory...

plus the 12 mingap in the very beginning...i think that is when MAL airlines was threatened with demands and then it turned the other way and vanished from the planet

if you recall when it was breaking that night it was MAL who reported IT had lost contact................airlines dont lose planes typically ATC calls the airline and says we have lost radar contact with your flt XX

if you go back and look at the first night it was alwasys reported as MAL lost contact with its flight and at first the time of the loss was noted as 2:40 into the flight (the time military radar lost it ) NOT ATC which was the 44 minute mark!

Is the continued "doubt" that it landed.............The way I see it there are at least 5 systems basically involved with communicating

three of the 5 would cease operating in the event of a crash and they have not

2 of the 5 would "activate" in the event of a crash and they have not

so.............................

Does it make a difference if the plane crashed on land or in water? Or will the same systems fails to operate/activate regardless of where the plane crashed?

Ok, so if the plane is the primary interest and it has landed safely somewhere, what can they do with it since Rolls will know if that engine starts back up again.... Right? Nor no?

hummmmm that is a good point................but if it has something VERY dangerous on it shooting it down will still spread the evil if it crashes or is blown up in the air no

Yes but if it was the pilot, the whole reason he would be doing this is to somehow make a point or create trouble for the prime minister.....just crashing and no one would know what he was angry about...

I am wondering if a demand was made of the prime minister.....like release anwar otherwise I crash a plane with 238 people on it, or hijack it.... I think he wanted the prime minister to resign...........Anwar would have won a by election, he was popular and the corrupt government got rid of him...

there have been civilian riots against the govt recently in Malaysia....

One thing is for sure, since the plane disappeared the opposition leaders charges are now out there for the whole world to know, and the fact that most think these charges were set up by a corrupt government.

My theory is that he wanted attention put on Malaysia and its politics.........and now we are there!!

That's why I don't think pilot suicide is a viable option at all. At least for myself I've completely taken that one off the table.

Yeah, I've never taken medication or anything, because I've never actually panicked about it - I don't like it, but I guess it doesn't seem real. And once take off is over, I pretty much relax. I freak out over things I have control of - I don't feel like it will accomplish anything on an aircraft. I know if I ever lived through an incident, it would seem real, and then I'd probably never fly again. My dad used to fly for business and was in the air during the 9/11 events and a bunch of other incidents, and he could not be calmer. I don't know how he deals. And I have never flown to a different country, nor do I plan to at this point. I feel very provincial, but I hate traveling and am not up for places without U.S. safety regulations.

I've started to get super jealous of people who do get these meds though - I see them pass out on planes and just sleep. I'd love that. I'm a chronic insomniac, and I when I take meds I'm still wide awake and not calm - my mind is too active for them to work. I'd have to get a ridiculously high dose pill, but it would be amazing to have the flight pass by while I sleep.

I used to suffer with severe insomnia also Lunesta is awesome ,,, no hangover the next day .....it mirrors actual sleep onset it is not a barb its a diffeeent class drug (hypnotic) sound horrilbe but it is P A R A D I S E ! Never fails either swallow 7 minutes later dreaming and snoring away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

really expensive tho like $12 a pill

it has saved my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS: Its awesome for events just like this......because you folks are highly addictive ! nor worries you can try to make it thro everything at if you make and you look up and it is 3 in the morning you swallow your lunesta and you can still go down AND THEN

get up and come see what you all have found out while I am dreaming away I have dreamt about this sitution and they have not been pleasant dreams........

Didn't he come forward saying he wasn't on the plane?

yes he came forward yesterday and said it wasn't him, it was someone else with the same name...

apparently the local paper gave out his info, but it wasn't him...

but another thing that makes me wonder...

so if this is correct, rule out the Uigher professor with flying training...he's on the ground.

I think this is when it began. I don't buy that no one knew there was a rogue plane out there. jmo

Exactly. Someone dropped the ball on that big time and this is on the of the reasons why the Malaysian government doesn't need "help" and can't explain the bizarre sequence of events here. :moo:

Yes, they could have been disabled by anyone in the cockpit with knowledge of what they were and how to do it.

The last part of your post regarding flying miles off course to crash in the Indian Ocean doesn't make sense either unless it was to make it nearly impossible for anyone to locate the downed aircraft. Just think, it has now been over a week and no one is certain where the plane is even with several countries involved in the search. Maybe that was the point? Who knows?

I know how things are looking right now - but I would hate to think this is the pilot. Its sacrilege that a pilot would do something like this - I know its happened before, the SilkAir pilot was an Ex-RSAF pilot who has a similar number of hours to this guy.

I just don't want to believe it and I would like to hold a little more faith in this guy and not crucify him until the evidence is solid.
