Nevermind. Some are showing up now. That's odd. I don't want to post anything I shouldn't.

I had them in an area where I keep them while building a new forum. :D They are in the new forum now and I'm fixin' to move this thread over there, too.

I cannot even begin to understand why Malaysia was focusing search on Gulf of Thailand when they KNEW plane had flown in the opposite direction.

I think I saw this on here last night, and I think it's very promising. I zoomed in x250% and screen shot the 2 areas

Frightening eh?

Their weaknesses are now exposed to the entire world. That's exactly what they didn't want. IMO

Just thinking about the pilot suicide theory and the length of flying time and how they seem in conflict. What if the pilot was actually hoping to be intercepted and thus flew around for a long time more or less waiting for that to happen but it didn't so they eventually ran out of fuel and crashed in a remote area. I mean, we are all shocked that it wasn't tracked better, maybe the person behind it likewise didn't think they could totally disappear and just thought they'd have a head start with disabling the systems. Still total conjecture of course.

I also found it interesting that one of the maps of possible ranges for the final signal came close to the starting location...

But this does not correspond with the plane continuing to fly for 7-something hours.

HOWEVER:

Is it possible to open up one of the cargo areas from the cockpit so all of the luggage falls out?

What if, after the hijackers took over the plane, they wanted to lessen the weight so that they could conserve fuel?

So they "dumped" the luggage?

If this is something, it is very close to KL and should be a pretty quick check.

Extremely close, right off the coast. Wow, if it turns out to be the plane, and it took nine days to find it when it was right there...

Keeping Twitter going today and waiting to see where this goes.

They removed the flight simulator from co-pilot's home?

I doubt he left any traces if he is responsible for this. moo

Good morning!

Not knowing anything about flight simulators, I am curious if it retains data such as a computer's hard drive would? To operate it, is it connected to a computer? I also read/heard his computer was removed from the house.

Yet another day has passed in Malaysia/Beijing without any solid information on the whereabouts of the plane. Plenty of speculation, to be sure, and a plethora of theories, but no concrete evidence about what became of the missing aircraft. :banghead:

And, if the pilot(s) was suicidal, I don't think we will be informed. Malaysia's state religion is Islam. Lots of luck on suicide:

"Don't kill yourself. No doubt Allah (SWT) is merciful and anyone who does so, will be pushed in fire. And it is easy for Allah (swt)." (Nisa: 4:29, 4:30)

I don't know this is all baffling, remember that plane, I think flying to hawaii? The one where the roof was ripped off and some seating was sucked out? That still managed to fly and even land safely.

I wouldn't rule out a scenario that after a hijack, that something went wrong which caused the plane to be compromised, but able to fly further before something finally happened to it.

Was there a media conference Saturday afternoon Malaysia time?

I think so...I didn't hear it, but from what I read on here, basically all they said was we are asking other countries for help.

Exactly! Like right in their backyard. That area was originally searched at the later time rather than the earlier when searches were concentrated to the east of Malaysia. If this is the site sure took some time for objects to float. Wonder how deep this area is?

I must say I'm quite surprised by China's "silence"....I have not heard anything from them other than to criticize Malaysia and when they released that obscure satellite image which was not the plane.

It was mostly China's citizens on the flight. Instead of criticizing Malaysia, shouldn't they be doing something more constructive to try to figure all of this out?

Couple of Xanax and a quick glass of wine! You won't feel a thing.

It is true that is may have crashed. But it's very possible that it has landed - and that the country where it is located is very well aware of it. Regardless of the success of the hijacking, I do believe it was done with the knowledge and support of a gov't - somewhere.

*IF* the plane landed somewhere and the purpose of a hijacking was part of a much larger plan, I agree, it would have to have the support of a large group in order to deal with the passengers on board. It is the number of passengers that I am skeptical of it being on the ground somewhere....what to do with them? I cannot imagine the fear and terror in their souls if they are still alive being held hostage somewhere, or were killed after landing. It would be far better for them if the cabin lost pressure and they became unconscious and died during the flight.

This may seem far-fetched, but is it possible that a "hacker" could turn off the ACARS system from the ground and potentially change the course of the flight (control the auto-pilot)? I talked to my husband about this and he says that it is possible, but there would have to be some sort of "transmitter" implanted inside the plane.
