LE spent many hours with her parents, interviewing them and questioning them.
We received a single sentence about her mobility, a very condensed version of the hours and hours of interviews.
There must have been so much more information shared about Nora's abilities, disability and likes and dislikes. This was not shared with the media and rightly so while she was still missing and presumed alive because to do so would possibly have endangered her further.
After her wee body was discovered her parents said she had not the ability to walk that far, shoeless and without assistance.
The absence of marks on her feet is the strangest thing.
Nora was a city child.
Anybody in this terrain should have had marked and injured feet having walked so very far. And bites from insects.
I'm so sad the little angel died alone and in pain.
My biggest hiccup is in relation to the search, how did they miss her if she was walking alone for so long?
Will this inquest bring any catharsis at all?
How thorough was the police investigation?
I understand why she might have left the apartment having expressed an interest in the deer, it seems likely she popped out for another look at them..
But what happened then?
She may have lost her way back but she still should have been retrievable when the alarm was raised, within an easy walking distance for anyone that searched.
Unless she was taken..
