LE spent many hours with her parents, interviewing them and questioning them.
We received a single sentence about her mobility, a very condensed version of the hours and hours of interviews.
There must have been so much more information shared about Nora's abilities, disability and likes and dislikes. This was not shared with the media and rightly so while she was still missing and presumed alive because to do so would possibly have endangered her further.
After her wee body was discovered her parents said she had not the ability to walk that far, shoeless and without assistance.
The absence of marks on her feet is the strangest thing.
Nora was a city child.
Anybody in this terrain should have had marked and injured feet having walked so very far. And bites from insects.
I'm so sad the little angel died alone and in pain.
My biggest hiccup is in relation to the search, how did they miss her if she was walking alone for so long?
Will this inquest bring any catharsis at all?
How thorough was the police investigation?
I understand why she might have left the apartment having expressed an interest in the deer, it seems likely she popped out for another look at them..
But what happened then?
She may have lost her way back but she still should have been retrievable when the alarm was raised, within an easy walking distance for anyone that searched.
Unless she was taken..

Sometimes children do things which seem strange to us. JMO but supposing Nora went outside then got lost and hid as we've discussed severals times in here - its possible she kept hiding. I knew of a child who went to a party in someone's house, they all played Hide and Seek and this child hid in a cupboard and did not come out the entire party as they were never found. They were not locked in, they decided that as they weren't found yet they had to keep hiding until found. They were there for a few hours and found after an extensive search. No idea if they had special needs or not but just shows how children can do things that seem strange to us.

Reading trip advisor reviews and baring in mind the whole apartment was open plan to the elements- insect bites weren’t an issue in the area.

I just googled mosquitoes and the Dusun resort and the first article was a warning about the mosquitoes.

Yet surprisingly people who stay there have commented about how little if at all they get bit. It of course needs a warning about mosquitos- you are effectively sleeping in the open air in the jungle.

I disagree.
I have read several reports of people complaining about being bitten very badly.

Fair enough I haven’t seen those reviews.
So we now think she was hidden in a tribesmans house protected by a shaman who live in a ramshackle property but had all the facilities to prevent her being bitten by mosquitos. I just don’t see how the mosquitos aspect is relevant?

Another fact I have just discovered about the shaman to fit into the puzzle. One joined the search of day 8 and did his rituals etc- this was 2 days after she died. In respect of this he could be telling LE where she was located having helped shield her- and then it took another couple of days, possibly three, to discover her body. But why the gap if he knew and helped place her?
(This wasn’t necessarily the third hand shaman who sent WhatsApp messages in the beginning, but could have been.)

I just provided a link to dangers of disease carrying mosquitos in Malay or Malaysia.
I have no theory of how or where she spent the time. My comment in context was in relation to the state of her body, feet unmarked and no severe insect bites.
Accuracy is important and we have minimal information.
You made the mosquito issue relevant by denying it existed.
It is utterly amazing that she wasn't bitten and that her feet and limbs were not torn to shreds following 8 days exposure to the elements in rough unfamiliar terrain.
That is all.

I have a very open mind about what happened to Nora.
Since the details came out about the condition of her body when she was found, I have had questions in my mind about the lack of injuries to her feet and the fact she was not covered in bites.

Some people are very attractive to mosquitoes and other biting insects. Others never seem to get bitten at all.

I wonder if we will ever know the truth?
I have a feeling we will not.

Now I’ve fallen down a morbid hole. Would bites heal after death? Would you still get bit after death? I’m not sure our body would give out the right pheromones after death. With regards her feet not being scratched- are we certain there had been so little decomposition in 4 days lying next to a stream in a humid environment that they could even make comments like that. I feel like I need to re read the wording in the news reports.

A British doctor who conducted a second autopsy on Nora’s body will also testify remotely, he said.

The Quoirin family has sued the resort owner for alleged negligence. They said in their lawsuit that there was no security at the resort and that a cottage window was found ajar with a broken latch on the morning Nora disappeared.

Nora had poor motor skills and needed help to walk and her mental age was about five or six years old, her parents’ said in the claim

Nóra Quoirin's parents want case reopened
According to an earlier report, Nóra died from internal bleeding - probably caused by hunger and stress.

"We ultimately believe there is absolutely no chance that Nóra got out of the chalet by herself," said Meabh.

"We have elements to believe that she was probably kidnapped, and I think it is extremely important for us to get to the truth, to get to the bottom of that and seek justice.

"It is important for us to see how police conducted their investigation at the time."

Speaking on the programme, Sebastien said he was "horrified" when he found Nóra was not in her bed, and that she would "never get up in the middle of the night".

All I can find online are results of preliminary autopsy.
Full autopsy must be somewhere.
Many questions will remain until it is published, if that is to happen.
Toxicology etc may be impossible following such a long time.
Starvation usually takes longer.
It's hard to reconcile this lost child's last days, she must have been frantic as stress related bleed is mentioned in all reports.
And if she moved alone isn't it remarkable she chose the spot by the water to finally lay down and depart the physical realm.

Thank you, I didn't want to be the one to go there but yes psychics are new-age mystics while shamans are spiritual representatives of ancient native animistic beliefs and I think those beliefs might lead some practitioners to react in ways we can't easily understand to encountering a naked white nonverbal teenage girl in the rainforest. Not even necessarily with malice but maybe in ways that could explain how she went uninjured but starved to death.
Prelim autopsy reported in media all refer to stress related.
She would have experienced a helluva lotta pain following a perforation.
When exactly do they estimate that perforation would have occurred? Her body was relatively intact, autopsy should have been able to determine the onset of the actual perforation from tissues surrounding it.
what was her natural response to pain generally? Did she run from it, could she self-comfort to any degree?
At the time I tried to find out about the shamans and other spiritual practitioners in malaysia. I asked a Twitter contact and she immediately froze, refused to discuss it and told me I should not have asked. It was a really strange interaction and we knew eachother well. It was like 'do not go there' 'this conversation will not take place'
It was as if to discuss it would awaken something bad. The woman is intelligent and has lived in europe and would certainly have come across schools of shamanism in her travels and in her education.
The strange thing was that her attitude actually stopped me dead in my tracks.
A good shaman on a search of that nature would be worth his or her weight in gold.
