I really doubt that Shaine would remember if she had liquid or moist compact style foundation on. If she was with KL and they came from Wisconsin she wouldn't have had a tan Wisconsin in January is very cold. I still believe KL is the key to identifying her. I also wonder if Alonzo, Lindsey and Kelly were all friends.

While the 26th wasn't particulary warm,
just scanning some earlier days I'm finding multiple highs over 70.

She might not have been in Phoenix long enough to get a tan Kelly had just gotten arrested for bringing young girls there for prostitution right before this happened to MJD I think she was one of his girls. She might not have ever tanned either I know that I don't :crazy:

A tan might eliminate Lipsey, if we had an actual date KL arrived in Az, my search went back to October 98 with convictions in WI.

Also, FWM63 posted the detective said with all the trouble Lipsey is in, he hasn't said a word about negotiating a lesser deal ( than the 25 or 35 which was offered as a plea),. Unless he is so pompous he believes he'll get off again.... If he in fact knows MJD. After all KL didn't push her out of the car.

With one of the minors (13), who accompanied KL from WI, identified by LE we have yet to hear whether or not LE showed a photo of MJD to that person, then or now that she is an adult. IMO, that seems like a no brainer to check out on LE's end.

sorry if i have already posted this question normally I would go back and check, but Im in the car DONT worry I'm not driving and websleuthing at the same time LOL, BUT question for Shaine during the 15 minutes he held her hand and waited for assistance did she at anytime speak call out or try to say ANYTHING? Call for her Mom? If so was there any type of accent detected? He said she had tried to get up and looked dazed, but did she try or actually speak......

I asked him that already. He said she did not speak. I believe he told her not to move and that she just stared back at him with the dazed look on her face. I believe he said he thought she was in shock or going into shock so she probably didn't make many noises either. I can double check to confirm, but I know he said she didn't say anything...

Ekaterina has been a fave of mine. I always thought they looked pretty similar. Especially after seeing the hospital photo of MJD, their chins are sooo similar. Thanks Dee!

Ah ha! Definitely my #1 pick! I realize she would have been much older than MJD is said to have been. But the resemblance is soooooo close and her being from Ukraine (???) could easily explain a lot in terms of why she has yet to be identified. The one thing that nags at me is that she definitely would have had a noticable accent and even if Alonzo and Lindsey insist they never knew her name, they could have at least said she had an accent! There's no mention of that anywhere.

I'm pretty certain a GREAT majority of the swelling on her face and neck is due to cerebral fluid leakage. I don't know what hospital treatment was preformed on her besides endotracheal intubation and an intracranial pressure monitor. The pressure monitor caused some difference because that part of her head was shaved, so it makes it appear that her face is longer than it actually is, I'd imagine. The ETT is smaller than the esophogus/airway so I don't think that would have caused any obvious swelling on the front part of her neck. I mean, trauma itself will cause swelling. I wish I knew what was preformed on her so I could give you a definite answer. But even so, I'm not a doctor and don't want to sound like I'm talking out of my a**, lol.. just my knowledge through my training is all I can offer. I believe they were also draining CSF fluid through a catheter.. and I'm not sure if that would cause any obvious swelling, either.

Thanks Vash! I'm just trying to get a better picture of her actual face and features in my mind.

Dee - do you know if Shaine has seen MJD's morgue photo? I'm just wondering if he can shed some light on the difference between how she looks in that photo and how he remembers her before the injuries took their toll. IMO - Ekaterina has features in life similar to those our little MJD had in death.

I would most definitely make sure LE knows this. This cannot be ruled out! I don't now why, but Ekatarina now has a strong resemblance.

They are blue when I'm unhappy or very angry. Green the rest of the time. So maybe there were some of the missing girls that had eyes like mine tha change color and the detective chose to wite down only one. In some jurisdictions the missing persons reports are formatted and you can only put one color, you just check a box and the officer can only check one. Focus more on facial structure and hairline, things like that never change. A very intelligent and observant friend once told me that the shape of a persons ear lobes never change. So if anyone needs me, I'll be out comparing ear lobes.

ITA! My eyes are hazel, but if I'm tired, they're green and if I'm sick, more brown. That's exactly why I'm focusing on her other features and why I want to know how her injuries and/or treatment could have affected her features! Height and weight can be off with missing persons - so we can't put too much stock in that stuff!

I agree. Anyway when people file these reports, they are most likely off of estimate. Who measures their height and weight every single day? (unless you're on some sort of diet. Even so, that's personal-- or in a hospital setting.. so a parent or relative/friend filing the missing persons report probably is estimating the height and weight). And I know that eye color does fluctuate. The thing about Ekaterina's case that intrigues me is the lack of information. It makes me think that not much was done in her case, either. Similar to MJD in many, many ways. Most missing persons have an entire story or at least a paragraph. All Ekaterina's says is that she left on her own accord and that she may be in the Seaside area.

If I had to point out what procedures/etc. altered MJD's appearance, IMO, it would be the hairline-- it was shaven for the ICP.

She had heavily made up eyes-- she may have not worn make-up on a very regular basis, especially if she was new to prostitution, not only that but she was pretty young (girls typically don't start wearing make up until middle school). That can alter someone's appearance dramatically.

Other than that, she's probably pretty recognizable.. which saddens me so much because no one has stepped forward to claim her..

I was just looking at the photo of MJD from the hospital and Ekaterinas pic and comparing the earlobes! I'm not all that smart, but my mom always says that too, and I always check because I remember from school that was how they knew it wasn't Hitler who died in that bunker in Berlin- they compared the ears and they didn't match.

It seems like they are different, that along with the nose makes me think she isn't Ekaterina. Its hard to tell because MJDs ear is slightly hidden by the tape on her cheek, but I think she has detached earlobes, or at least that shape of ear, and Ekaterinas are pretty clearly attached. The pics show opposite ears (R ear on Ekaterina and L on MJD) but its rare to have different types on 1 person, so my guess is she's not Ekaterina. The tops of their ears do look similar though. None of the other pics of MJD show her ears at all do they?
