That's a real big important Duuuhhh too! You could be right. After all, the officer was writing what Lindsey was saying, which may not have been direct quotes! And the report has Alonzo saying that they had been staying the motel (Crossland) for the last 2 months...

So maybe MJD is from the Phoenix area after all. Or one of the other 49 states...

Or another country. But I doubt it. I am amazed at how many runaways DON'T get reported missing.

There are a lot of things in that report I wish were clearer! And I wish some evidence items were more detailed. Like the razor blade with possible residue? Or clothing brand names? I'd looooove looove to hear those cassette tapes with the interviews. I'm so super nosey.

Considering the reports said Alonzo reeked of booze and dope - I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that 'residue' was coke. A lot of cokeheads will use razor blades to cut the stuff. None was found in the car, but that doesn't mean it wasn't already snorted.

I'd also love to get my hands on those cassette tapes, or even the full transcripts. That police report is riddled with "see full transcripts for full conversation" blah blah etc. =/

That's true. See I was under the impression they were found with MJD and they were trying to "frame" her as a drug addicted prostitute.. not very wise as her tox report was clean. Or that MJD was using them to protect herself.

A general razor blade wouldn't be enough to be considered as protection, it's too small and doesn't allow enough of a threat to hold an attacker at bay. They'd most likely use something more like a switchblade or something bigger and easier to conceal without accidentally cutting themselves up.

Any Phoenix residents left here? Anyone find any high school or junior high yearbooks? 1996-1998. If she was 15, then she may have been in 10th grade, which may have meant starting a new school that maybe she didn't like or fit in. Think there are still records of school transfers from back then?

It would be almost impossible for me alone to try to track them all down and go through them all, but what I can do is at least go through my own personal year books. My freshman year is from one school, and my last 3 years are from a different school.

Could probably go through the full districts themselves, but without at least a last name for them to try and track it would probably be a dead end.

Yeah, you're probably right.

In the police report, LDJ mentioned that they had picked MJD up from behind the liquor store with a group of men. I wonder what that was all about. I wish LDJ could describe what the men had looked like, or that somehow LE could find out who those alleged people were, probably an impossible feat, though. Sounds like some kind of deal went down with MJD. I've heard of gang members trafficking girls.. I wonder if she was involved with a gang in some way.

I graduated HS in Phoenix, too. But I graduated in 2006 so my yearbooks would be useless. I asked people who did graduate around 1998 in Phx to look through their yearbooks, but nobody has been able to turn anyone up that may be MJD. I couldn't get everyone to look at her morgue photo either which made it even harder.. so I told them to look for girls with "DMA" intitials..

But that's great! I'm glad to have a local here!

I'm having a hard time keeping fact from fiction as it is. Lindsey only mentions once during her interview before her flight to Seattle that they stopped at someone's house before getting on the I-10, but fails to mention it in all previous interviews that we know of.

Somewhere in there it was mentioned once that Alonzo had also visited a dealership across the street from the mini-mart, but wasn't mentioned anywhere else prior. It would make sense though to get a tune-up before going on a road trip that long (Phoenix to Florida).

I'd love to know also why it doesn't mention anywhere that these people who were questioned weren't shown any photos of Alonzo, Lindsey, or KTL to try and match them up. Going back to the man questioned at the dealership, I'm sure the "man on tv" could've been EASILY given a name had he been shown a photo of either Alonzo or KTL.

The report is a little confusing sometimes. I took it to mean, that he had seen the argument the same day that he (Alonzo) was on tv later in that day - the argument taking place around 1pm, which would have been an hour before the accident. We've only read about the KSAZ interview that was on tv on Thursday; there may have been a news story with photos that day (Tuesday) or even on another channel that he may have been referring to.

That is the first time I ever read the article. I saw that it was posted about it being in the newspaper on that date but not the article it self. Has the actual article been posted before? There are so many discrepancies in this case Who knows what the real truth is.

She wasn't booked for anything related to MJD so they would've had no reason to take a mugshot or anything, but I think interrogation rooms might have video cameras that a still could be pulled from the tape.

When I posted before about LE's recent converations with LDJ, and her cooperating a little bit, she mentioned that they did stop at a house (don't know if it's the same house mentioned in the report). Apparently MJD went in and came out with a bag or backpack (also missing). LE doesn't yet know where or who's house, but they're trying to find out...
