BALTIMORE —

Police are investigating the discovery of a body in northwest Baltimore.

City police said officers were called shortly after 8 a.m. Thursday to the 4800 block of Tamarind Road, where a resident found a man's body.

Police said officers found the body in a state of decomposition. Police said the man had gunshot wounds to his torso.

Once at the scene, officers found the body of an unidentified male that was in a state of decomposition. Officers then discovered that the deceased had sustained gunshot wounds to the torso.

Officials say medical examiners removed the remains and an autopsy will be performed.

Body found in northwest Baltimore identified as 20-year-old man

Thursday morning, police found a decomposing body in the 4800 block of Tamarind Road, near the family's home and a few blocks from the Baltimore police Northern District station.

Police identified the victim as Kenyon Condrey and said he had been shot multiple times in the upper body. His family believes he helped guide them to where he was.

What began as a missing person's case is now a murder investigation. Police said the body of a young man found in north Baltimore is that of Kenyon Condrey, 20. Condrey's father told the 11 News I-Team that he last saw his son Sunday. Now, he's asking for anyone with information about his son's killing to come forward.
