I'm pretty sure it was the estranged husband but a canal search should have been done to rule out the possibility of an accidental death... It's really sad that the police didn't see fit to take that step... After reading the article about your daughter's death, I feel like a response would have changed the course of your life. and I think it's very likely that she and her car ended up in the water somewhere... but unfortunately the fact that her husband is a police officer means she would know how to do it.

The same logic applies if she's not in the water, I'm sure he would know how to dispose of a vehicle...

I understand that the husband looks like a typical suspect in a case like this, but with her car also never being found, I would like to back up a bit. The information I have read here states that she left her job at Shaw's Jewelry Store in Eastpoint Mall, Maryland. Does anyone know where she was heading? I do not see a home address posted anywhere or was she going home? In case this might have been a water accident, I am simply trying to figure out a route of travel for her that day. Thanks in advance.

Not sure if she was headed home first but this is where she resided at the time.

Bernadette resided in the 4000 block of Rustico Road in Carrollwood, Maryland in 1986.
