This thread is about the Freddie Gray case, so let's keep it that way and not have it spin out of control into other matters.
Thanks !!
Thanks !!
Could we get a thread for the protest going on in Baltimore?Again, this thread is to discuss and focus on the Freddie Gray case specifically. What is happening in Baltimore right now, supposedly in the name of Freddie Gray, is not necessarily directly related to this case.
Can we open a new thread?
With all due respect, the current situation is a culmination of Freddie Gray and many other cases. Imo, the protests are not due to this one case - which could have been prevented.
New threads will narrow the view and discussion, but not so sure that is how Americans in general view what is happening now - in this situation. Jmo.
It has been suggested that a separate forum be set up for all LE matters. The info gathering and discussion would be of immense assistance to anyone looking - jmo.
True. Having lived in that inner city for almost 50 years the problems there are quite systemic in general, in both the police dept. and the black communities. This is not going to go away because nothing is changing to change the dynamics of the real problems. Lack of respect being a huge one, both in the homes and then out of the homes.
Did anyone find Freddie Gray's date of birth yet?
I only found so far, August of 1989
ITA. They absolutely should. After all, a one sided discussion is not a discussion. Are these ' LEO related issues' going to include brave and noble actions on their part, which happen every single day
Link available for "Leo related issues?" Where is it:thinking:
Online reports are swirling that*Freddie Grayhad spinal surgery shortly before he died in police custody, and collected a payout in a settlement from a car accident. Those reports — which raise questions about the injury that led to his death in April 19 — point to Howard County court records as proof.
But court records examined Wednesday by The Baltimore Sun show the case had nothing to do with a car accident or a spine injury. Instead, they are connected to a lawsuit alleging that Gray and his sister were injured by exposure lead paint.
