Evidence of crime.

Healthy man stopped and flees.
Man caught, cuffed, arrested, placed unsecured in van.
Refused medical care, observed numerous times.
Taken on tour of city blocks.
Arrives at Police Station on the brink of death.

Slightly OT, but if my kids get 'irate' when I try to belt them in, can I tell LE that they may bite me to avoid getting ticketed?
They really are a law unto themselves.
It's a shame for all the law abiding officers who will be tainted by their behaviour.

I'm not convinced of the "healthy" part---didn't FG have a history of lawsuits based on injuries sustained previously? Didn't FG have a history of drug addiction & selling illicit drugs?

#Baltimore paid $6M in 4 years—Chicago, on the other hand, paid $500M in 10 years for police misconduct settlements http://dnain.fo/1GDeDeE

Imagine our country without LE...is this foreshadowing of what's to come?

No. Civil society functions best and recognizes the importance and much needed role LE plays in society. Individuals may try to cause anarchy, but it rarely turns out well and imo it's misguided and harmful to think a community can operate without LE protection. Without LE, my guess is criminal enterprises or military would fill that void. Anyone know any functional communities that do not utilize LE? Anyway, the sky is not falling, but it may feel like that if communities are directly affected by it, but historically it's nothing new. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_riots

I work and live in Baltimore. Every day this week, my work closed early for safety concerns as did many other businesses. I am one of the lucky ones who still gets compensated for my time but many others have to use timeoff or go without pay. The ones who people are protesting against are still getting paid, probably with a lot of overtime added in. This is really hurting small businesses who didn't play any role in Mr. Gray's death. Idk..I am just sad, sad for Mr. Gray's family, for all LE, for the businesses and for Baltimore. It will never be the same and I am not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing.

Just curious Miss Sunshine---how do the local LE treat you? What have you observed personally in their demeanor about the City?
What is your first-hand experience with them?

I don't know any of them so can't really say. But I have a feeling that if a crime was committed there will be two types. A crime of commission, someone who may have actually committed a crime. And a crime of ommission where they were aware of the committed crime and did nothing or waited too long to do anything.

That's your opinion. There are rumors out there that LE happened upon a drug deal. With his history is that really far-fetched?

Seems those that believe LE in this country have a predilection toward corruption and are actively hunting down black men for no reason will always believe the version that puts LE in the worst light. JMO

Did the arresting officers find illegal drugs in FG's possession when they arrested him? Apparently not.

What they found was what has been described as a 'legal knife' according to the State's Attorney.

I know some don't want to take Ms. Mosby's word as credible (for whatever reason), but I do.

I would like to see the results of FG's toxicology report---was he under the influence of drugs? It would matter as his behavior would reflect the various necessary actions taken by LE.

Let's see the tox reports!
