Maryland knife laws:
I'm reading lots of conflicting articles about the knife laws.

Police officers are not EMT's, but aren't they trained in first aid? Aren't they capable of delivering babies in an emergency?
I'm asking you, as someone who has links to LE. My dad's life was saved by NYPD officers performing CPR. My mom always held them in high esteem because of that. It happened many, many years ago, and I am really curious to know if the same would happen today.
A bit of research indicates the policy of belting in prisoners has been in place from at least 1997. It may have been revised recently, but it is not a new policy.

SO, Maryland doesn't have a seat belt law?
And if they do, is there some reason that police vehicles wouldn't have to follow that law? Since of course, they are the ones who uphold the law?

Maryland Statute 59-22 is the knife law
It*shall*be*unlawful*for*any person*to*sell,*carry,*or possess*any*knife*with*an automatic*spring*or
other*device*for*openingand/or*closing*the*blade,commonly* known*as*a switch-blade*knife.
So it says any automatic spring but then SA said it was legal...
