Per Col. William Davis of@Harford_Sheriff
news conference follows new leads received last night, says DNA has come back tied to a match to a home invasion and attack of a young girl in Los Angeles in March, "We believe this person killed Rachel Morin"

Thank God for DNA. It is interesting in the video shown that there was clearly another person shutting the door as he walked off. They have so much more on this guy!

5 foot 9 inch hispanic male is what he said.

I missed the beginning! Ugh! Stranger arrested or no?

Right, so why don't they know his name?

I heard LE refer to the attacker as 'he' and 'Hispanic'

So DNA matches someone who's DNA is in CODIS from an attack on a young female in March in Los Angeles, California. Hispanic male, approximately 5'9", 160lbs. They'll share video after their LIVE broadcast. You can only see them from basically the backside.

Same DNA as a crime in Los Angeles, a home invasion...

Ohhh they don't have this guy in custody. Wow. I have to go back to the beginning when this ends.

Someone ask him who the other person was in that video!!

Right, so why don't they know his name?
My guess is the girl who was assaulted in LA provided a physical description of the suspect, but because the perpetrator evidently hasn't been arrested previously, their DNA hasn't been entered into CODIS under his name.

I need to see that video. He's long gone from that jurisdiction.

The Sheriff said they will not say anything about the victim or her family in LA.

Not really. I mean, how many times have we all waited for a presser hoping for the best just to learn it's "an ongoing investigation, can't comment on that right now" and then thanking the press & all agencies involved.

It happens a lot, so I tend not to get too excited when a presser is announced.
You called it.
