Found Deceased ME - Anneliese Heinig, 37, vehicle found, Richmond, 26 Nov 2019 #2

  • #21
After the bulb went on for the unintentional lockout scenario, that moves to the top of my list as well.

Pick up and dump seems it would be more a panic for the driver, and less likely to do a good job of concealing her, to the extent she's still not found?

DOT truck requested her vehicle be removed for plowing. Poor visibility, big vehicle, may not realize a person was struck and sent off the road. Or may...

Yeah, exactly.

I think of this case often but updates are scarce. Hoping we hear something.

Yes, i agree. I keep thinking about Anneliese as well. I hope she will be found soon.

Where are you Anneliese?

Bumping again for Anneliese. She was reportedly last seen on November 26, 2019 and then reported missing by her family on November 28, 2019.

She came to mind yesterday. Hoping she can be found this spring. Poor Anneliese.

Where oh where did this beautiful woman go?

If she was in the water, I would have expected her body to have surfaced by now.

I drove by the place her car was found the other day and had to resist the urge to pull over and peak. I am so surprised there isn't any more leads or direction to the case. If she went into the water, it's not surprising she hasn't surfaced, but I won't elaborate on the potential reasons why she wouldn't. What still doesn't sit right about it is the fact that it was low tide, and there would have barely been any water there at all. I am really not sure what to think about what happened to her.

Is there anything we can do to start a search party or something now that restrictions are easing up? I'm in MA but could probably get to Maine for something important.

Didn't LE conduct quite throughout searches of that area around the bridge relatively quickly over the course of several days? They had ground searches and boats etc. It's been quite a while so I may have forgotten what happened at the beginning of this case, I will have to refresh my memory. I wouldn't even know where to begin at this point, or what we would be looking for :(

I would be game, seems to me there were quite a few locals from the area on here following the case.

It just seems like we should be doing something.

You start the bandwagon and I will hop on!

Did AH's family ever start a missing FB group? I will have to go back to thread #1 and refresh all the details.

I think I read that boating has become allowed again in the area (not sure why it would have been banned but that's the subject for another thread). Maybe that will help in the search for Annaliese and others such as Abbie Flynn (Gloucester MA). While I'd hate for a boater to find her, that seems like a probable outcome at this rate.

There is a group on Facebook called Let's Find Anneliese, which was started on January 5th by family and friends. According to Anneliese's mother, Anne, another search was completed by the Falmouth Police fairly recently and did not turn up anything. Anneliese's case was also covered by the podcast 'Locating the Lost'. I agree that there has not been much media attention, but feel that this may be because the family wants privacy. JMO.

I was hoping for some news but I guess we are still waiting??

I started following this case because of the geography. I lived in Falmouth within a couple miles of where Annaliese's car was found when I was very young 100 years ago. I have also lived in or had family in Topsham, Bath, Woolwich, Gardiner, and Dresden. Not Richmond where Annaliese is from, but from all the towns around there. Talking to family still in that area and occasionally reading the local paper online (Times Record) over the years I have been intrigued by the murder cases in the area.
1) Dennis Dechaine, Bowdoinham, convicted of murdering a 12 year old child in 1988
2) Olland Reese, Bowdoin, convicted of murdering a 16 year old child in 2002
3) Dominic Sylvester, Bowdoinham, convicted of murdering his grandmother in 2019.

Is there something in the water there? I would have a hard time distinguishing between Bowdoin, Bowdoinham, and Richmond so I count 3 murders and a missing person from a regional area of about 9,000 people total. But I haven't heard of a single murder or missing person from Topsham, Bath, Brunswick, Dresden, Wiscasset, etc in the last 30 years.

Wow, can't believe we're in mid July and nothing has really happened in this case all year. Sadly, it seems like a forgotten case.

It sounds from the local news, as though the Falmouth PD will be doing a news conference about Anneliese's disappearance today at 10. If I am able to locate a link, I'll post it here.

Police said they are asking boaters who recreate on the Presumpscot River to be on the lookout for her body.

They said they plan to continue searching for her body in the near future.
