I agree Dog.gone.cute. Something happened in that home to her and I want to know who was in that home that evening and who might have left and come back for her.

(normally I wouldn't have thought of that but there was a case just in the past week and it might have a thread on here I didn't look, but a person who had been invited to a party at a family's home returned after all had gone to bed and took the child, raped the child but the child IIRC is still alive).

LE isn't saying much about anything and that is frustrating. But yes, whatever happened is because of who was in that home at any given time prior to her going missing. JMHO

What? Is there a link that supports the mother had petitioned for a paternity determination? Or is this just speculation . . . .

Filing for a paternity determination is mandatory for unwed couples before custody can even be discussed.

While the other vehicle belonging to a "girlfriend" has not been confirmed, it sounds like a safe guess to me...still, wish HLN would not state things they can't back up. Doesn't help in a case with virtually nothing coming from LE.

I had actually presumed that the "woman's" vehicle might belong to a "woman" that lived at the house.
If a vehicle was used to commit a crime it is totally reasonable to think that one person living at the house could have used a vehicle owned by another person living at the house.

Justin's mother lives there and I believe his sister, with her baby as well?
I thought it might be one of those two women who owned the vehicle in question. :twocents:

Apparently the car belongs to a woman from Portland that has not been identified so I'll assume she doesn't live there.

I believe that the "other vehicle" belonged to a woman who was said to live in Portland or be from Portland. Hope that helps. (J/k, I know it doesn't.) :innocent:

Yeah, I wasn't sure if that could be taken to mean that they're simply not giving the individual's name.

That actually makes sense, could of been a space issue (lack thereof) that caused CPS to get involved. Someone still had to report that I would think.

Or if the maternal GF is a RSO like was previously posted. A 20 month old is at greater risk around a SO than a baby is

I find it really hard to believe that Justin's mother, Ayla's grandmother, would have hurt her. Nor do I think that his sister, who has a baby the same age did anything to her. So my suspicions are still with Justin himself, and perhaps his girlfriend. There is also reportedly one other non family member who was present that night. I want to know who that was,

i saw that post, and i just want to point out that while it was from a google news site, the original post cited by the google site was on Examiner.com by an author who is not approved by WS as MSM.

to me, the man in the RSO picture did not look like the maternal grandfather, RR. there is no confirmation whatsoever that this is the same Ronald Reynolds. the last registered address of the RSO "Ronnie L Reynolds" is in Milbridge, Maine, 3 hours away from Portland where the grandfather reportedly lives.

Thanks, I wasn't able to read the actual article.

I'm still catching up. Someone may have already posted this and if they have please just ignore the following.

Determination of paternity is a legal step that must be taken when a child is born outside the marriage as opposed to inside the marriage.

Inside the marriage is another legal term used that I won't explain here because it isn't applicable to Ayla.

Outside the marriage means that there was no marriage between the parents of Ayla at the time she was born (we all knew that already) and (my interpretation at this time without seeing the actual paperwork) is that Father did not claim paternity at the time of her birth legally by going through the legal steps to have his name on the birth certificate (or he may have I don't know).

But in order to proceed with custody and child support filing the paternity must be established before the courts will even look at the case. JMHO.

Oversimplification of legal process, if other's have any other questions we would need to get a family attn here to explain (and I believe we do have members here that are verified as such).

That would be me. But you did a 100% perfect job explaining this.

ETA: Even if he put his name on the birth certificate or signed a voluntary declaration of paternity, a judgment of "paternity" would still have to be obtained.

One of my YouTube viewers posted a question about the sling and wanting to know if Alya's sling was found in the house. Do we have any information about the sling?

I am saving copies of as many pictures as I can so that I can contribute to a photobucket album about the case or something. I get a lot that are linked on Twitter...I can just right-click (at work, or Cmd-click at home) and save them so that's great. But there are a lot of other images which I only see when viewing the slideshows on the wmtw.com site, and those I cannot save the same way. If I do right or cmd-click, I just get a box "About Adobe Flash Player." Is there some other way to save them as jpgs? I have just been doing screencaps, but that's a pain because then I have to go back and trim the non-picture stuff away. (And I'm lazy.)

No clue but you guys are AMAZING.

FWIW - If the father is not listed on the birth certificate, she must have the state determine paternity in order to receive child support, etc. This could just be a paperwork technicality.
If the father is not listed on the birth certificate, how could DHS (CPS) remove the child from the mother/grandmother and place Ayla with the (alleged) father?

Have you got the snipping tool? It's quite simple, just point the tool to the area you want to cut and save.

On JVM it was reported that a reporter asked why the police have told the mother to stay away from Waterville. His response was this was news to him.

They didn't show the officer, but JVM says she was told that by a reporter.

JVM asks why the mother wouldn't be there searching for her child.

Hmmmm...

Was also reported from a brother of Trista that the father was not involved for a year and then all of a sudden wanted to be a part of the child's life. Says that one time after the child came home from being with him, she couldn't walk for 3 weeks because of a pulled muscle.

3 weeks??!!??!! A pulled muscle in a toddler??!!??
