Why do I have a really bad feeling now? oh boy....

Tic Toc, Tic Toc, sounds to me that the mom doesn't want the cops honing in on her. Or fears an arrest is pending and is trying to disassociate herself.

There was a vid. of an interview the Grandmother that I watched this morning where she said her first thought when she found out A was missing was that J wouldn't go busting down the doors of his friends to find her (I'm paraphrasing).

I can't seem to find the vid. now. Does anyone have the link handy? It was one of the CNN vids.

WTF???

@cnnross Ross Levitt
#AylaReynolds' grandmother clarifies she was not at home the night the toddler disappeared. #cnnexclusive

What in the world?!!!

  • #405
Well then she can't really say there wasn't a party, can she? Or add much of anything at all to what may have happened...

Did it say anywhere why dad and gmom started to give interviews? Was it because police told them it was okay? Because I am thinking police suspect someone from the house and possibly don't have enough evidence. So police tells dad and gmom to talk to the media and sits back and prays for a slip up...just like this. Imo

I am really getting a sick feeling too. I soooo wanted this to be that TR went and took Ayla and things snowballed from fear. Now I am not so sure. This is a very BIG lie...if nothing to hide, there would have been no need to fabricate a lie and certainly not for the reason she stated:(

This is a criminal investigation, no matter how one looks at it. This lie is huge. Regardless of what she said to CNN about being home, and now changing her story...she says the police have known the truth all along that she was not home. I'm not so sure that is factual either. We need to go through links of the Commissioner reports as I am pretty sure I remember he said the Grandmother was home. I just pray that Ayla was not harmed and that someone did take her away....at this point, it doesn't matter who...just that they bring her back or leave her in a public hospital lobby or something. Anything:(

The Laura Recovery Center based in Texas is helping Ayla Reynold's Father Justin DiPietro find his daughter. Part of their advice was to speak to the media.

I can't figure out why LE didn't pull her in to question her again if what she said in CNN was a lie. And LE had no comment today on her 'clarifying' where she was. So which is the truth, or what LE thought was the truth? And why did sp wait two days to tell CNN what she said Friday was not true? And why bother to, why not go back to not speaking to media? I'm so confused.

Well, that certainly casts a clearer shadow things...

I read an analysis of the dipietro's comments so far somewhere and I apologize that I can't remember where to link it, but it talked about how PD mentioned having to write her statement 2x and how having to write it more than once means LE picked up on some change or discrepancy in the story thus requiring it to be done again. Interesting

Ok, I haven't been following this case closely, but know a bit about it.

IF you listened to the Websleuths radio show TODAY, you may have a clearer picture of the situation.

The Dad said LE had asked him to NOT talk about the case, ie to media. Mark Klass said that LE did that to him as well when Polly went missing. However, Mark said that with the popularity and influence of the internet, this may be, in other words, old school.

That is why, I gathered IMHO, the dad didn't speak about the broken arm after rumors surfaced about how the child broke her arm, and IF you read the grandmother's statement, AFTER hearing the Websleuth's broadcast, you see the grandmother was trying not to change the perception already out there. But it APPEARS, to ME, that she realized for some reason, it was not the way to go because she KNEW she wasn't there. She was just trying to answer questions to NOT rock the boat, so to speak, of what was already out there.

In her CNN statement, recanting the info she'd given on Friday (?), that she didn't hear anything, she wanted to be clear, TO BE HONEST, that she wasn't there.

It's no one's business where she was. She was NOT there. LE KNOWS. It's only seemingly new info to the public. It seems like she wasn't being truthful. But she was truthful where it counts, to LE. THEY know.

I haven't followed this case daily like many of you, but this is IMHO from today's Websleuth broadcast.

JMHO

Well, that certainly casts a clearer shadow things...

I think the police chief needs to do another press conference. I've said that all along. I don't understand why it is secretive for them to not say WHO was at the home that eve? That certainly could enlighten the public to bringing in more tips/leads. Also, why would "holding back" where grandma was have anything to do with leads/tips? So if she was with a friend or a boyfriend or at a hotel or wherever she was at...how could that compromise leads/tips? Something is not right.

If she wasn't home, she should not be saying what was or was not going on at the home...didn't she state that there wasn't a party? How would she know? She shouldn't be talking about that night at all, only about Ayla, if she feels she must speak. JMO

IMO, she gave the impression that she was there, until now.

It was the first interview she did with CNN. It won't load on my laptop for some reason but I believe this is it:http://www.necn.com/searchNECN/search/v/50515996/ayla-reynolds-grandmother-speaks-out.htm

Body language analysis of grandmother. Keep in mind, this was made BEFORE the change of stories : It also has the video of the interview: For some reason the URL won't work to paste in here? Google "Ayla's Grandmother: Body Language" it is on a seamusoriley blogspot.

I'm having a hard time hearing the video, so please help me out. Does the grandmother ever actually come out and say she was there at the house? Or is it that her description of what happened that night just leaves the impression that she's stating what she witnessed as opposed to stating what she's been told?

"During her interview with CNN, DiPietro said Friday that she "didn't hear anything" when asked if she heard any noise the night Ayla disappeared. She added that there was not a party at the house, noted she wasn't the last one to go to bed and said she wasn't sure whether the doors to the house were locked.

On Sunday, DiPietro said she wanted to make clear that she wasn't home the night Ayla disappeared and that her information about what happened that night came from others."
