Skeletal remains discovered in a Maine shed could hold key to solving mystery involving missing woman - The Boston Globe

The recent discovery of skeletal remains inside a shed in Casco, Maine, could be the break that solves the mystery of a woman’s disappearance.

“We can’t confirm Denise Scott Ramsey was last seen at the house… just that we are aware that there is a missing person’s report and we are working with the family regarding that information,” Moss said in an e-mail to the Globe.

Maine State Police said the chief medical examiner’s office began a post-mortem examination on the remains on May 9, and the investigation will continue as they work to identify the remains.

“At this point we are waiting on additional testing and DNA exams from the Maine Medical Examiner’s Office to come back and that could take several weeks or even longer,” Moss said.

Skeletal Remains Found in Maine Shed Identified as Homeowner's Daughter — Last Heard from in 2019

It’s so weird to me that it took 15 months to report her missing. Her dad should be the top suspect but she was his caregiver and wasn’t even able to carry groceries?

So who began taking care of her dad?

I agree about the weirdness of the delay on reporting her missing. From the article, the daughter of the missing person last heard from her on Dec 26th, 2019, but she was not reported missing until March - presumably of 2021 since no other year is indicated.

I believe the article states that the deceased grandfather is the one that couldn't carry groceries and therefore would not have "moved a body to the shed".

This is a very confusing story.

My heart absolutely breaks for Denise's family. They're right; if it was a "20 something rich girl" they'd be all over it. JMO IMO
