GUILTY ME - Valerie Tieman, 34, Skowhegan, 30 Aug 2016

  • #281
LisaWL7TR, I also knew a guy with a very similar personality and background. He's serving 10 years for abducting me and trying to strangle me. They had him on jailhouse recordings admitting to everything he did to me, but in court he stuck to his outgrageous lies and tried to say I did it all to myself. Luc reminds me of him so much.
OMG Valkyrii...I would be worried for when he gets out! these kinda guys are great and charming in the beginning and then things change.

The only good news here is he was incredibly stupid. He lied to police AFTER they had found her body??? I feel so bad for his ex and her 4 kids. I hope they have a good stable stepfather or other father figure in their life and I hope he is never allowed contact with them again.
Funny his fb he posted about supporting LE and OMG...I am a christian but that $ he supposrly sent to Joyce Meyer...should have went to his 4 kids!!!!

It's always on my mind. He gets out in 2024. One of the stipulations of his sentencing is that he has no contact with me for 30 years (the entirety of his sentence if he violates the terms of his sentencing is 30 years, they suspended 20). He's already broken that by suing me via his ex wife, but they couldn't get enough proof that he told her to do it so they couldn't say he was in violation. It sounds awful to say, but I hope he dies in prison.

I am right there with you on his demise. I am glad that you survived and were strong enough to put him in prison with your testimony. I am so sorry that happened to you.

What got me was that he claimed he contacted the NSA about his missing wife. Yeah, right. He is full of it. IMO he never sent any money to any org.

Thank you. I only wish everyone was as lucky as I am and that these men were a rarity. I've read so many threads here where the perp has that same narcissistic, abusive personality time and time again. :-(

You are so right about the monsters being all too common. I also believe that the more the survivors of the monsters speak the future possible partners and survivors will have alarm bells ringing when they meet a monster. Ugghh, I feel so sad about Valerie. Even this monster's ex-wife reached out to her--she was that nice.

That makes no sense. What the blankity blank is the NSA going to do? When is the last time the NSA was involved in a missing person's case? It is obvious he knows nothing about how the NSA works.

If anyone at the national level actually gotten involved, it would have been the FBI. Even then that is rare. Missing persons are typically the territory of local law enforcement, barring a suspicion of human trafficking, drug trafficking, or kidnapping that crosses state/national lines.

Is someone trying to look like he's insane?

The FB rants, his behaviour, the ridiculous OD claim?

Does he think he's smart and is going for the insanity plea? Or is he really crackers?

I believe I read that when he was arrested, his mom was trying to get him to a VA hospital for a crisis situation. He has hubris and is not so smart. I don't think he thought they would search his home b/c she left at Walmart. I think he thought they wouldn't search his home because his parents lived there and said nothing out of the ordinary happened there. I'd like to know when ma and pa Tieman saw her last.

I'd like to know that as well. If she died closer to 8/25, they had to know he was lying about her leaving him at Walmart on 8/30.

What a smug, narcissistic, disgusting piece of trash!

Luc Tieman then claimed his wife had a drug addiction and he had watched her overdose on heroin and die, the document states. He also said that his wife smiled at him, stopped breathing, and he left her in bed at night and later dug a trench outside and buried her.

According to the affidavit, police reviewed surveillance video of the Wal-Mart parking lot where Luc Tieman said he had parked his truck with Valerie in it Aug. 30.
The truck was not seen in the video at that location between 5 and 11:30 p.m., from Aug. 21 to 31, the document states.
In interviews with the Morning Sentinel, friends of the Tiemans have said that Luc Tieman was unfaithful to Valerie Tieman and wooed other women around the time that she disappeared, telling them his marriage was ending.

Maine State Police and the Maine Warden Service recovered Tieman’s body Tuesday, after a police dog found it in woods a few hundred yards from where the couple lived with Luc Tieman’s parents at 628 Norridgewock Road in Fairfield. She was 34.
Police arrested Tieman on Wednesday morning and charged him with felony murder. They stopped him while he was driving on Kennedy Memorial Drive in Waterville, near where he had spent the night in a motel.

“He was a sweet, loving guy during those high school years,” Merrin said. “After we got married, things started to change, even before he joined the Army. There were a lot of domestic violence incidents over the years, among other things, which I will not go into detail about. If detail is needed, that will all be done in court.”
She and Tieman had four children, but courts ruled he was to have no physical contact with them, Merrin said.

SNIPPED

Merrin said she never met Valerie Tieman and did not know what kind of relationship she had with Luc, but she had spoken with her.
“I last talked to her in late June of this year about Luc having phone/mail contact with the children,” Merrin said. “She seemed very sweet and happy. And eager to help him reconnect with the children.”

But Allen Harmon posted a message on his Facebook page Thursday about the pain he and his family are feeling, citing a passage from the Bible, “the Lord gave and the Lord hath taken away, blessed be the name of the Lord.”
Harmon recounted how he and his wife left at 4 a.m. for the hospital on Dec. 31, 1981 – hurrying over roads covered with freezing rain and snow – and welcoming Valerie Joy Harmon into the world an hour and a half later.
“Little did we know that this dramatic entrance into this world was setting the stage for so many acts of love and kindness, humor and sorrows, and for a grand finale one of the most heartbreaking things a parent could ever experience … the tragic and useless murder of our precious daughter,” Allen Harmon wrote. “So now we are comforted in this the hardest time of our lives by the fact that she is in Heaven.”

The Mom sent a text to the woman he was wooing about taking him to the VA hospital... That same woman also stated that their families knew each other. The Mom also told a reporter early on when they knocked on her door that Valerie was a private person and wouldn't want any more attention. The mom also publicly didn't put forth an effort to search for Valerie... Then I read somewhere that there was a yard sale at their property a few weeks ago

... Obviously, he is playing his PTSD card by his bizarre calculated behavior... but not sure what the Mom's defense is going to be.

{{{ When York learned later that he was having an affair with a woman she knows, York notified Valerie Tieman on Aug. 25, she said.

Soon afterward, Luc Tieman angrily texted York: “Why did you do this to me? I just calmed her down.” }}}

Extracted from the Central Maine article, link above
( sorry I don't know how to link or quote )

Anyone else suspect Valerie was killed, after confronting her husband over the alleged affair, which she learned of on Aug 25?

He "calmed her down". Hmm.....
