Just read that Geraldo is banned... but it really doesn't say what from.

Its a little unclear, but what I heard clearly was there is a No Trespass Order Issued on GR and he has not signed the order yet. The Cummings family no longer welcomes him to this property where they have set up camp.

Not clear is he was ordered out of the county. That would be a little extreme.

I don't know if it's GR's interview or just coincidental, but media coverage of this case has practically come to a halt. I'm sure I read somewhere on Saturday that there would be no pressers over the weekend, but they'd resume on Monday. Now, those pressers have stopped too.

It makes me wonder if after GR's interview, LE decided to stop further media coverage, at least until there's a break in the case.

That's exactly what I posted too Leila. Now that I think about it, I'd be willing to bet it was GR's interview that caused LE to shut down pressers.

IMHO, unless this case gets a break it will go cold soon as far as ever finding Haleigh.

Also, with a black out on pressers Haleigh will soon fade to the background and not many will pay attention for long. Another case will come along where the investigators of the case will speak just enough to keep it alive and front and center of national news.

I'm very worried that GR may have done a lot of damage.

I think now whether or not Geraldo was correct or incorrect in his approach to interviewing the two camps of the family may now be a moot point.

No more pressers until further notice. No media coverage can be done unless the same old information is rehashed.

That may be part of the reason. I'm sure they didnt want the media darting all those questions at them. Even before the GR, they werent telling much- although better than nothing.
This LE seems to do things differently, they seem to keep most info very close to the chest. GR didnt help it any. ALthough, it doesnt mean LE isnt going to do the very best they can to get to the bottom of this. Lets just hope and pray they do update from time to time.

Yes, Geraldo was out of line the way he handled this. As for Crystal, it was not ALL about her, some of it was about Haleigh, Ron backhanding her and causing her to fall, as well as the injuries she supposedly received at school. I could be wrong, but I believe Crystal is setting the stage to initiate another custody hearing to try to get her son back, which she might have a better chance at winning now. I believe she was telling the truth, for what it's worth.

I believe it will affect the media coverage, but it will also make the public pay more attention as well. Misty has not been in the news recently, at least personally, and doesn't seem to be with Ron or his family. What is that all about?

So now that Haleigh is missing this mom comes in and suddenly becomes concerned? This woman lost custody of her children and she has had a few years to try and get them back but hasn't? If that was me I would do and try everything possible to regain custody of my children. People can make excuses for her all they want I am not buying it. Her myspace says it all

She made the GR show about HER! She brought up things from 5 years ago for gods sake! None of this could be proven! What CAN be proven is that someone, somewhere TOOK Haleigh and NOT once did she address that! RC became the better parent that night by saying this isn't about me this is about Haleigh and pleading for her return! She could've said NO to GR or stopped the whole thing but choose not too. That says a-lot to me. IMO

In my opinion Geraldo is always looking for SHOCK NEWS. I thought the whole scene with Crystal there telling things about the past was very ugly. I thought Geraldo putting a microphone in R Cummings face was very ugly. I also find it very interesting that Crystal feels the need to run Ronald through the mud right now when Haleigh is missing instead of months ago when her complaints against Ronald would have helped.

I am not on either side and I think there are plenty enough shady characters to go around in this story. Now I want to hear from someone who is on Haleigh"s side and I want to hear from someone who is ready to step up and be the answer in this tragedy. If Misti wasn't home....let the truth be told. If something happened that either side deeply regrets let it be told. There is a little one out there somewhere that deserves to be brought home....alive or God rest her soul....dead.

ALL reporters are confrontational, it's how they work. Geraldo's tactics do not surprise me, and he always seems to be on one side or the other, never neutral.
Whatever Ron would have chosen to "share" with us, I don't think I would be inclined to believe him. Crystal has always been more believable to me, as well as her family, than Ron or his family, for some reason. She just seems more sincere to me. For a long time, she was very careful not to say anything negative, or even voice her thoughts, and I think Geraldo probably pressured her to say these things because he is "on her side" when in reality he just wants to take credit for a sensational story.
No one should be worrying about past conflicts, unless it directly relates to Haleigh's disappearance.

I am sure that everything that she said to GR has already been related to LE in her previous interviews. There would be no possible reason for her NOT to tell LE that she has her suspicions. After the five hour questioning of Misty the other day, I think LE said go ahead put on some pressure and see what happens. If the media helped them to put on some pressure...then I think LE was fine with that method.

They (LE) have refused to clear Ron and Misty....have kept control of the home for a LONG TIME....and clearly stated that other subjects are NOT persons of interest. Ron has a CRIMINAL past that includes much more than minor drug use, it includes assault and weapons violations, and violation of DOMESTIC VIOLENCE INJUNCTIONS! That means there was proven domestic violence to get an injunction against. Ron's behavior during the 911 call was abusive to Misty, aggressive toward the responders and threatened violence with a gun. I'm not sure what it takes to convince people that he is a dangerous person, but just a bit of that proved it to me.

I am not going to comment on his criminal past because it appears that everyone invloved has a criminal past of some kind.

I will however point out that he was granted custody through a Fla court and Misty has had plenty of time to try and regain custody of these children and hasn't. That speaks louder to me than a man upset on a 911 call because his daughter is missing. IMO

This is the part that concerns me most.......the fact that despite polygraphs, and with Misty more than one, LE has not cleared either RC or MC. And, they're holding onto the mobile home as a crime scene.

One thing that came out of GR's interview was the drug charges and violation of an injunction in Sarasota, Florida in 2005 that we knew nothing about. Many wondered if CS was in Sarasota at that time, but I couldn't find any evidence of her being there, and Sarasota is a long way from Putnum and Baker counties. I wonder if that violation of an injunction is another separate case - someone else has a restraining order against RC?

I also wonder if there's other cases in other counties..........things we've missed.

I will try to respond to each thing separately here so I hopefully will cover it all.

First of all Misty is a 17 year old GIRLFRIEND OF THE FATHER with absolutely no rights to these children, so I don't see how she could possibly try to get custody of them! The BIO MOM, Crystal, missed a court hearing because Ron purposely gave a wrong address and she was never informed of the proceedings...this has been discussed in depth other places so I will leave it at that.

I never said that LE has cleared everyone else but Ron and Misty...just that they have made clear statements that certain others are not suspects or persons of interest.

Mike Brooks is talking to T. J. Hart, a program director for a local news station, and he says RC does have a criminal past with drugs. He said that the charges in Sarasota in 2005, although dropped, show a violation of an injunction.........says there had to have been an injunction in order for it to be violated.

After the commercial break, they're going to be discussing MC.
