'Major Case Squad investigator Major Jeff Connor spoke with CNN's Nancy Grace by phone Tuesday evening. "There was some damage to the screen, but the window was found open, the back window leading to the basement," he told Grace. When Grace asked if the window had been forced open, Connor responded, "there's no indication force was used."

Anyone familiar with JMM know if this is true? IMO, all kinds of wrong and a very narcissistic enterprise. Below is just a snip of the comment:

And her son pulls up in a Mercedes Kompressor, you walk in to the main admin lobby and there a chandelier hanging from the ceiling that is bigger than the ones they have hanging in the White House. Just a bunch of money spent on stuff they don't need that could have been spent spreading the word of the Lord. Or providing food for the hungry, shelter for the homeless, etc... No, Joyce just wants to flaunt it and waste it. And then she has to the gall to put in huge letters on the front of her bulding "LOOK AT WHAT THE LORD HAS BUILT". No, it should read "look at what the fools that sent me money bought!!".

Coleman sees family buried, heads south

Chris Coleman watched his wife and sons being buried Wednesday morning and then headed south on Interstate 55 with a group of police detectives following him.

Coleman was on I-55 passing through Cape Girardeau, Mo., at about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday with police following him at a distance and at normal highway speeds.

Early Wednesday morning three unmarked police cars and a sport utility vehicle full of detectives were staked out around the house in Chester where Chris Coleman has been staying since his wife and two sons were strangled.

Affidavit in Columbia triple murder details funeral dispute
Chris Coleman, wife's family spoke little after deaths

Sheri Coleman's mother, Angela DeCicco, was alone when the LaGrange Park Police called her May 5 and informed her of the deaths earlier that morning of her only daughter and only grandchildren, according to court records.

Neither she nor her family heard from her daughter's husband for more than two days afterward, when Chris Coleman called his brother-in-law and agreed to allow the remains to be transported from Randolph County to Cook County for a funeral. He then changed his mind, according to an affidavit filed in Monroe County Circuit Court.

Coleman's attorneys Art and Bill Margulis could not be reached for comment Tuesday.

PS.............Ok, from the above link, this does NOT look right, IMHO. The guy was AVOIDING Sheri's family, IMHO.

"After hearing about the murders, Sheri Coleman's brother, Mario Weiss, tried for two days to reach Chris Coleman, finally speaking to him about 11 a.m. May 7, according to Weiss' affidavit. "

Sorry I'm jumping in here myself but just gotta add this makes NO sense. Do I have this right--CC can't reach his family by phone from a gym that's only a mile or so from his house... so he phones 911 to investigate and see if they're ok? Wth? Please tell me I have it wrong cause that in itself sounds pretty bad. You'd just drive home and check it out yourself before going to such an extreme. ETA: And I know he claims they'd been "harassed" but he still could've easily arrived there before LE if he'd WANTED to.

:parrot:

I believe it was a Gold's Gym he had a membership to in South County. This is the closest location to I-255/I-270 (where he would cross from Columbia, IL into the South County area) that I could find.

Just saw this in the same article now (must have just updated it):

Chris Coleman then headed out of Chester with his parents and with police shadowing him. They arrived at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo. The woman believed to be Connie Coleman had a bandage on her left leg.

She does have a large bandage on her left leg and also on her right wrist in the video at the burial.

It seems odd to me they would travel that far for her to see a Doctor even with an autoimmune disease, but I guess it is possible. Darn. I need to go back to WS logic class 101. LOL

New article up on the Post site http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/news/stories.nsf/illinoisnews/story/CD8E133992A7C529862575B50061177F?OpenDocument#tp_newCommentAnchor

"At Chester's Evergreen Cemetery, the three murder victims were buried side-by-side -- Sheri, Garett and Gavin -- their graves adorned with a dozen overflowing flower arrangements.

Flowers decorated with white ribbons that said: "loving grandson," were on each of the boy's graves. On the mother's grave, a colorful arrangement had a pink ribbon on it that said: "Beloved daughter."

There are no headstones. Rather, small signs with their names and photos attached to them mark their graves."
