The Border Patrol Union says it has "full confidence that when more facts are revealed, our agents and officers will be shown to have utilized justifiable force in eliminating the threat".

In a post on social media, it says "Border Patrol agents are trained extremely well to protect themselves, their fellow agents, and innocent third parties".

The statement adds that when a protester brings a weapon with them, "there are going to be severe consequences and repercussions".

I am serious with that question and would like a serious (and truthful) answer from the officials or anyone supporting the officials' version of events.

IMO the threat was and remains the eyes of the nation upon what is happening in the state of MN and there is no way to neutralize that. The eyes of the world are on this administration and how it chooses to respond to the murder of Alex Pretti.

It’s not really a swing state but it is a blue state that has voted against Trump in the last 3 elections. And Tim Walz the governor was running for VP against Trump in 2024. Those are some of the reasons I believe he has sent a very strong ICE presence to that state, especially because they actually have one of the lowest number of illegal immigrants nationwide. All MOO.

With the highest numbers of est unauthorized/illegal immigrant’s residing in states like California Florida and Texas I ask myself why was Minnesota a priority ? Why the large ICE presence in Minneapolis? And why the focus on violence we are not seeing elsewhere

Then I see Pam B’s list of items they want from Walz and if they get those items they will pull ICE out of Minnesota. So was this all ever about immigration ? Or was this whole thing just leverage to extract what they always wanted but are not legally entitled to?

When anybody starts operating outside the law they lose credibility to me. ICE has been out there operating effectively for years without this chaos and violence.
It appears to me they were told to push the envelope in Minnesota - some agents - maybe rogue/ took things toooo far. These agents should be investigated fairly and impartially.
Blind loyalty and supporting unlawfulness in any group, in my mind is not the way to proceed.
If we say the immigrants are here illegally/against the law so they need to go - it only stands to reason that if we have ICE agents also doing things that are illegal - they need to be held accountable too.

This! Serial killers get caught and get a trial. So many web sleuths cases are firstly about a heinous crime but also then the trial process where both sides get to present a case. Even someone guilty of such a crime may not get the death penalty.
