To be honest, I have fears for that child with either of them. He has well established issues and she strikes me as self-absorbed - Gibson's comments about her other child being messed up. That she put her child with Dalton through all of this tells me everything I need to know about her. I would have protected those children at the first sign of violence or upheaval. And it wouldn't involve going to the press and putting them through this chitstorm.

He was arrested in 2006, but I sincerely doubt this was his first time driving under the influence. According to wikipedia, he was banned from driving in Canada (for three months) after he rear-ended a car while driving intoxicated there in 1984.

I was talking about the racial & sexist slurs, sorry I wasn't clear on that. When some people have a drinking problem, they are more of a dangerous to themselves (unless they drink & drive). But Mel isn't one of those people, he's obviously a mean drunk. That was well publicized. And since he was/is such a horrible human being, then what business did Oksana have getting involved and bringing an innocent child into the world with him?

I knew that. I believe his twins have boh had problems. Those are the only two. I have heard that they have straightened out (who knows if it's true). But MANY families have such problems. Two out of seven ain't bad, IMO.

I was surprised that his wife (Robin)
came to his defense. But as far as
the girl friend, I don't trust her or her
story one bit. She just used an old
man,done every day. IMHO

Right! I've shared on here that my dad is an alcoholic and although not every time, can be a very mean & hateful drunk. He is not wealthy by any means but he does ok financially. If he were to get involved with a woman, even though I love him, I would tell her what she was in for if she married him. If she completely disregarded that, I would wonder why she would bother to get involved with someone with such a problem. I would also not have a whole lot of sympathy for her when the day came that she found out for herself what I warned her of.

Oksana was not some blinded by love 20 year old. She was mid 30's & should have known better.:innocent:

I wasn't surprised Robyn came to his defense. I would do the same for my ex if I felt he were falsely accused of something and I would have nothing to gain by it. I would do it because I felt it was the right thing to do. If I felt he were guilty I'd let him sit in it.

No it's not. And before anyone comes along and accuses me of defending him, don't even bother. I've said plenty on my feelings of what he's done. But it shouldn't be overlooked that Oksana is no innocent victim, completely blindsided.

Yeah, I did say SEEMINGLY. I was not aware of his cheating or prior bad acts to 2006. I didn't know that his alcoholic problems went back further. So if that is the case, no doubt his children were exposed to that.

Apparently, if tmz is to be believed, the judge was impressed by the letter from the ex-wife Robyn, since she claimed Mel was a wonderful father. According to tmz, since Robyn said Mel wasn't abusing his other kids, the judge didn't think he was going to abuse this child.
Frankly, considering how out of control Mel sounds on the tapes, and how angry Mel sounds at the baby's mother, I am really questioning the judge's reasoning if what tmz reports is correct.

of in the Hollywood community..

She does alot of charity work and gives
alot of money to charities, so they
feel her influence goes a long way in

And also, wasn't his daughter in rehab at one time? The older one - the one married to KWS. Not that any of that matters in the present situation, but it's a shame that all of his children have to experience watching their father go through this - even if he did bring most of it on himself. No one wants to see their father in this type of situation.

She appears to have chosen to subject this child to a media chitstorm and allegedly fights and violence without reporting it quickly and getting them away from it. I know what that tells me about what kind of mother she could possibly be apart from what Gibson claims.

How old is her son? Maybe he's had some trouble in school, bullying or behaviorial problems? Maybe he has trouble getting along w/ other kids. Just because YOU don't know of any problems (and that doesn't have to mean LE was involved) doesn't mean there aren't any. He could have the type of problems that the media wouldn't be interested in covering, esp since he's unknown.

I think her oldest child is 12? I will have to find a link to that, but that's what I heard on one of the entertainment shows the other day (I think)!
