Also: While I DO agree with Chiquita that Meredith is really and truly a VICTIM of a brutal and heinous crime, even so, if AK and RS are indeed innocent - and MUCH points to their innocence - then they too are Guede's victims.
Look, this thread gets more leeway than just about any thread in the forum. I am trying to just give you guys some room and it seems everyone can take it just fine. With all due respect, much of posting is made enjoyable by the interaction with others. Yes, this is about the Amanda Knox appeals case, but really.......I do not think anything had to be removed. Its your call, of course, but it seems worse now. I do not know how others feel, but the whole conversation was wiped out, and.....forget it. ....
Chris Halkides also has an analysis of the bra clasp:He didn't address the bra, either, in the part you quoted, so I have to go back and refresh myself to see what he said about that.
Miley, I was looking at the analysis, and it seems to me the dna should be discounted altogether. I don't know how it even convicted them. Very disturbing. I hope this is being taken into account in the appeals review. Thanks for posting this!Chris Halkides also has an analysis of the bra clasp:

:floorlaugh:Okay, then I saw this, which I thought ought to get us right back on track.
A website that talks about italian toilets and poop!
For more than you ever wanted to know about this subject, see:

I particularly like Douglas Preston's remarks at the end.

ETA: Someone brings up in the comments section that DNA might have been mixed on the gloves, going from one sample to another. This is not precise scientific data, and ought to be discounted as "evidence" altogether, IMO. Once more, thanks for that informative link!
I do.Wow! I thought things got slightly heated here, but nothing here compares to the argument about the argument about the argument about Amanda Knox over there!
I move we send Salem out into the world to teach internet manners wherever this case is discussed! Anyone second the motion?
Yes, Nova: I recently saw a disturbing show about how very subjective and "UN-scientific" DNA analysis really is.What is equally disturbing is how subjective the interpretation of multiple DNA sources can be! DNA has been sold to us as precise to a mathematical certainty and not something that should give 10 different results to 10 different "experts."

I think I saw your posts, but was not quite sure of the technical languaging and meaning. I know you gave a lot of great info!!!You might of missed many of my earlier posts re the DNA :innocent:
I was actually quite shocked that they had to even request the .fsa files although at this point nothing should surprise me
If this review comes back remotely close to how bad it should be, not only could RS and AK's DNA testing be tossed but so could RG's

You mean over on the other site? There are some very troubling things going on. The comment section is simply the tip of the iceburg. Some comments I see have been removed. We are talking very serious accusations here.
What concerns me as well is it seems that some have become emotionally involved and are widening the circle of the people they are going after. I simply don't understand the extreme measures being used
I am wondering (as usual, confused because of the opposing camps' respective and differing spin on things) if the postponement of the May 9th report is definitely good news for the defense, or only maybe, or might it be good news for the prosecution in some way? Anyone venture to guess?
