So dempsey has different times for some events than the timeline I got off PMF before. While looking at that, I discovered something else.
I went to the Mot. report to get clarity of whether MK called her mom at 8:56pm or 9:30pm (as dempsey writes) and I read again the whole thing about why the judge didn't believe that AK and RS ate late in the evening.
It is based on a phone call RS was on from his father at 8:40pm. RS tells his father that while washing dishes, he discovered the leak.
So the judge

-U-MES that they washed dishes AFTER they ate. I do not see in the report any indication that the father said Rs had said they had actually eaten, just that they were washing dishes.
Okay, let me share something. My kitchen is a wreck right now. and usually, it is a wreck. So before I cook, guess what I have to do? WASH DISHES.
I can imagine I'm not the only person in the world who might have to clean up there kitchen before they cook. So if they were doing some dishes, wiping down counters before they cooked, and then they saw the leak, it would stand to reason that they ate later on, because they were unsuccessfully handling the leak before they even cooked.
Does that not make sense?
I think it's irresponsible in a murder trial to say that because they'd washed dishes, they must have already eaten. I do not know if this was put to AK and what her response was to it. Maybe she didn't say what I have theorized about washing dishes first, but it seems that her unconventional behavior definitely got her into this, so I can imagine that she'd wash dishes before cooking. I mean, like I said, I do it all the time. Especially because I only have one skillet. So if I use it in the morning, go to work, and come home, it's in the sink for washing, and I need it to cook my dinner. Makes sense?
I guess RS decided to wash dishes and start cooking because their movie was half way over.
From the MOT Report:
In the course of her witness examination she indicated that they had dinner around 21:30 pm to 22:00 pm; then she put the time further out, at about 23:00 pm. But this claim is contradicted by the declarations made by Francesco Sollecito. He, as noted, stated that he spoke with his son on the phone at 20:42 pm (phone records corroborate his statement), who told him "he was with Amanda" (p. 16, hearing of June 19, 2009). Indeed, later on, around midnight of that "November 1", knowing that he was with this girl, he limited himself to just sending him a text message (p. 19, hearing cited above). Francesco Sollecito also explained that, during the 8:42 pm call, his son mentioned "that while he was washing dishes he realised he had a water spill" (p. 45). This fact, which was also mentioned by Amanda Knox (who links it to the need to fetch the mop to dry up the floor), is relevant because it allows us to determine the time of dinner as being around 8:30 pm and before the call at 8:42 pm, in which Raffaele tells his father that while washing the dishes he had a leak from the sink. page 78
