It doesn't indicate guilt, but it suggests there might be a screw loose. If there's a screw loose ... sometimes bad things happen.

Do you have a link that shows murderers are more likely to dress inappropriately? That'll be a tough study to complete, given that "appropriateness" of dress is subjective.

For all we know, her attorney approved her outfits, assuming they would make her look young and naive.

It does show the possibility of irrational decisions in other matters IMO.

Since when is poor taste necessarily irrational? And even if her outfits did indicate mental illness, only a tiny percentage of the mentally ill are ever a danger to others.

It's as if we are writing a textbook on logical fallacies in this thread.

THIS is what I have been saying all along! They saw her as having an unassuming flower child look, and for many of us, that is what we really did perceive in her at times. Wearing a dress and a barrette may just have looked phony and contrived .:clap::clap:

I believe he's saying that for the period of time where a video was not playing, the keyboard didn't log any activity longer than ten minutes. For the time a video was playing the keyboard was off, but of course the log would then show that a video was playing.

If many of you look at your keyboard there are a number of keys or key combinations that interact with the operating system. Most will have audio keys, function keys that when pressed perform a funtion which is logged

Many of you have probably also used a combination of keystrokes such as cntl alt esc to access the task manager and these are all logged onto the OS. On RS's system he had both the windows OS and the Mac OS.

Many of you probably have a screensaver which activates then deactivates when you return, this would be much like the keyboard light which would deactivate when not active and activate when you are using it

The fact that the "experts" did not recognize that there were 2 OS's on that computer should tell you all you need to know let alone the fact they fried 3 hard drives

No. He has 'left open' the option to look over other stuff if he deems it necessary after the dna/retest/review is submitted to the court. So it is still possible IMO.

Yes Fred you are correct he has left the option open

ITALY STARTS TO ASK WHAT HAPPENED TO KNOX AND SOLLECITO11 LAWMAKERS TO THE GOVERNMENT: GO LOOK INTO THOSE OFFICES

That’s why the contribution of outsiders, like critics, analysts, thinkers, politicians, might be of some help"

They need whatever they can get, but I'm confused as to how there were no breaks longer than 10 minutes, if they were watching a movie. Unless they watched the movie on the other computer while he typed away on the mac.

Well, I take that back. I have half a screen up now, watching web shows while typing to you guys, so I guess it's possible.

I'm thrown off, though, by him saying a video can block it. Maybe the video doesn't block it if he's typing, though. Maybe I just don't understand what he's talking about.

It was probably set for 10 minutes much like you can set your screensaver to activate after inactivity

To me, it's the most frustrating aspect of this discussion. Whenever the forensic evidence against AK or RS is shown to be lacking (which is invariably), the discussion somehow slides to irrelevant details such as cartwheels and how AK dressed on the stand. When that doesn't work, the discussion shifts again to accusations against AK's parents, and then back to "but the jury said she was guilty."

So right. It has actually become predictable. I tried to make a bet with my son on my last post as to what would be posted but being the smart kid he is said no, laughed and walked away. Good thing I would of won :giggle:

And this is Frank's conclusion: :waitasec:

Amanda knows what happened, she knows why she was screaming, she knows that the problem is not in Rome, not in a lab. Amanda needs America now, after Italy, to do something; she needs the Embassy to move, for real. It’s really not time for being diplomatic. Not anymore.

Wow! This may be the first time I've had a glimmer of hope that justice might be done in Perugua. Emphasize might.

Yes same here. I started to wonder what the experts would do. When the info started to come out I saw my first glimmer of hope. GM's subsequent "interviews" made me sit up in my chair and go wow he is desperate what is going on that we don't know about as it so reminded me of Nifong's actions. Now we get this petition. The world is watching.

Haha, well that is strange. Hopefully, the other 11 lawmakers haven't expressed the same sentiments. That being said, his reasons for doubting the convictions seem completely valid.

That is an important distinction. If it had of just been a letter from him people would not take much note. The fact there are 10 others which signed it suggests something else. Combine that with the letter from CPJ etc., and you have a pattern showing

I wonder how many university students have suits whether they be male or female at the age of 20?

A study that says murderers dress to disrespect the court? No. For what purpose?

I agree. Clothes in court are no indicator of guilt. It does seem to go round and round, even when there's legitimate stuff to discuss. Like RS's claims about his computer.

There is nothing strange in running two mutually exclusive drives, or running mac through a PC. The computer logs are still computer logs, and a back lit keyboard (common enough feature) means nothing.

Are you suggesting that the experts were unable to recognize sleep mode ... when the keyboard and screen sleep?

I think all .. especially if they're applying for professional positions during summers and for after graduation.

I have to wonder if everyone isn't slightly embarrassed for Rafi. After all, he's been consistently painted as the helpless, nerdy dupe of the evil Amanda!

Which is odd since the prosecution has at various times accused him of holding MK down while she was raped and of wielding one of the murder weapons. Sounds like more than a lovesick puppy to me!

I feel sorry for Raf because he seems to just have been dragged along in it all. And he was a lovesick puppy. Brand new girl friend, exotic because she was american, a whole new discovery as he had to help her learn Italian. Even more mysterious because they could only communicate so much with actual words.

I suppose her saw her as such a delicate thing, far from home, in a sea of people who she couldn't fully understand. It's a frightening thought for me to be somewhere, far from home, and barely know the language. And yet, AK was no doubt adventurous and spritely, not letting that bother her. But to Rs, it probably made him see her naive and too trusting, in need of someone to protect her.

What did either of them know of each other, though. It'd only been a week. I wonder how quickly the amorous feelings took to wear off while behind bars. I do wonder how they feel about each other now. It's very sad that their romance was ground to a halt over something so horrible.

I thought that same thing about MK and the new boyfriend she'd had. Finding out about her death aboard a train home to see her again. Wow. I don't know how serious they could have been, though, because as it seems, he hadn't really contacted her much over that holiday. I just can't imagine how devastating it is to have everything just cut off and someone snatched away over something so senseless.

That's part of the reason I've been avoiding too deep of thoughts about MK. Her death was horrible, and I get so sad and so angry if I dwell on that aspect of it. so I focus on AK and Rs because they are a live and there is at least hope for them, even if only a fool's hope at times.
