It seems that the defense would have us believe that Knox is a fruitcake who arrived home to an open front door, proceeded to take a shower - scooched across the floor in her birthday suit, was blow drying her hair when she realized poop was in the toilet in the large bathroom that wasn't there when she first got home. That scared her. Then she remembered the blood she didn't see in the bathroom, the broken window and the locked door. Then she toodled over to Raffaele's apt with a mop so she could clean up the water spill in the kitchen from 15 hours earlier (which she claimed was much later in the evening, as late as 11 PM). During brunch, after mopping the floor, she thought to mention the poop, blood, broken window, wide open front door, or locked bedroom door. She made a couple of quick calls to Meredith's phones (one was 3 sec.), ducked a call from Filomina and eventually arranged for Filomina to meet her at the cottage ... then she called mom before anything happened ... and so on. Filomina told Knox to call police, but it was Raffaele that called after they arrived at the cottage, and possibly after the arrival of the Postal Police.
The mixed blood evidence is a bit of a problem for Knox. How can she explain the presence of her blood (genetic profile) in the sink when it wasn't there the day before? Blood deteriorates quickly, so if it gave enough of a match (hopefully more than 2 markers but 16 would be better) that Knox's blood could be identified in the mixed sample, then she was bleeding. We have photos of her on the day that Meredith's body was discovered and her ears were not bleeding.
This is the washing machine:
These are her ears a couple of hours after showering at the cottage ... I don't see any bleeding ... unless maybe the bottom earring was wripped out a while earlier?
