What do all of RG's alleged crime scenes have in common?
1. All but one of them food was either cooked or just consumed or drank. We don't know about the knife witnesses house to my knowledge if food had been consumed there.
2. Petty cash or small items were stolen. Carriable items, except the portable printer? don't know how big that was to get away with on foot. the knife witness said RG was in the process of rifling their things, so I assume he got away with nothing since he was caught.
3. A sense of wrecklessness that led to disaster. At three of the scenes, if they are all his, he wound up having to pull a knife on someone, he wound up setting a fire, and he wound up murdering someone.
4. At three of the scenes, he was interrupted. the nursery, the knife witness's house, and MK's house.
5. He made a weird mess at most of the scenes, too, that indicated he'd just been there sitting around board, as if he lived there.
6. He stayed for quite sometime at the scenes. We don't know this for certain, but Im going to theorize that since it was the weekend when these things all occurred, he was looking for somewhere to stay and he spent time in these places. He could have stayed the whole weekend in them for all we know And believing that everyone at the cottage was probably on vacation for the holidays, I believe RG probably thought he'd be alone till monday and had all weekend to live in the house. I saw this pattern in every crime but the knife witness's house and the fire house. I believe it because he had a friend who said RG kept wanting to sleep on his floor and had a sudden adversion to the place where the drug dealers sold drugs on the steps.
According to Nina's book, this friend, Victor, said one day RG didn't want to go around the drug dealers anymore and he stopped wanting to sleep in his own apartment. This friend Victor left the country to return home at the end of September, and it was around this same time that RG's bugarlies started. So it seems RG was hiding out from someone, he had no job, needed food and money, and if he were trying to allude drug dealers he owed money to and his friend who'd offered him solace was gone, then RG had to find other places to stay, including the boys' toilet seat at the cottage.
If he really moved to Perugia in July, it might be possible that he didnt meet the boys' until October, or he didn't start going to their house until his friend, Victor, left town, giving him no where to turn. That would narrow down the timeframe that RG was enjoying some comraderie with the boys, as Massei suggested.
So my thoughts are that he moved to Perugia, tried to live as if he had a job, when he didn't, just like all the students were doing. Might have gotten into oweing a drug dealer or loan shark some money and started stealing or whatever to survive and maybe repay whomever he owed.
