I think Mr. Kronk did fine with the interview. He seemed honest, had understandable reasons for looking in that area as well as being concerned with Caylee and what was right. He didn't like the way LE had treated him and that is unfortunate it happened that way. He is getting raked over the coals and he has a right to speak out - which he did. Plenty of kooks trashing him all over the place. If he wants money ... based on today, I say show the man the money.

Money is going to keep flowing whether anyone likes it or not. Right or wrong.

I agree. RK comes across as honest and an all-around "good guy". If not for him, Caylee might not ever be found. If there is any money to be made, I hope he goes for it.

Can we blame him for wanting to remain anonymous?
Look at the vial mess he's become inserted in!!!

I understand why he was hesitant tobecome involved. For sure.

I really want LP to apologize to thiis man, what he has done dragging him into his daisy chain theory was irresponsible and unfair. This man did not do anything wrong and he deserves to be treated better.

LP's daisy chain is between casey, lee, cindy, george, jose, PI"s...., these are the people who knew who told each other in some backwards, dyslexic way and yet none of them got the message to the point of actuallay going to find Caylee.

Well we don't know much more today than we did yesterday. Other than the bag was underwater. And a pic of a snake. I am sure he said only what he had to in this interview, The LE probably told him can say this much but don't say anthing about xyz for you to still be found as a credible witness
IMO.

That interview was not worth supposedly 20,000

I still like him though and believe him.

If it was under water how did he see it?

  • #106
I tend to believe him also, what did he do that was wrong?

He called the police and then met with the officer like he was supposed to.

Casey did not call the police.

He did everything the right way not "in a backwards sort of way"

If we haven't learned by now, tragedy doesn't just happen to lovable, well-balanced, media-ready families. All the witnesses also "suffer" from having lived prior to their involvement in a case. Even if you're the defendant, the evidence rules don't allow just every allegedly bad act from your previous life to come before the jury. There are rules, about convictions, etc. This man not only wasn't indicted, his record was expunged. Given the nature of what happened, it doesn't even make me vaguely suspicious that he was somehow involved in the disappearance and death of Caylee. I'm sure LE checked him out. I also don't think they feel insecure that they have the correct party in jail awaiting trial, and for good reason. The only weirdness is from the failure to find whatever he was pointing out to LE much sooner. I also think the A family "web" pretty much consists of just them and their lawyers and investigators, no outside conspirators giving or getting tips. Of course, the defense loves any side issue, and they will try to damage RK. I'll leave them to it.

For me, it places the focus back where it belongs: In the ORANGE COUNTY JAIL AND Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle on Hopespring drive.

:clap::clap::clap:

I agree, sweetmop! This is beyond ridiculous.

Thanks for posting the link, as I have been sitting here all morning glued to the Today show waiting for this interview. (Sleep deprivation,)

I am in 100% agreement with Mr. Kronk on the no good deed goes unpunished. There is not a shred of evidence he had any involvement in this case other than finding the remains, and he has been accused of all kinds of things. It's really sad, and I feel for the poor guy.

Did anyone notice how RK seemed to cut the interviewer off every time the interview got close to what he saw in August? Maybe I imagined it, but I wonder if LE has asked him to keep what he actually saw, other than the bag, under wraps.
I think I'll watch it again.

Exactly, it happened 20 years ago..no doubt this ex-girlfriend was a nutjob and and a drama queen. He was still to easily manipulated by her and she used him to come an get involved in whatever her problems were, again he wound being the bad guy when in fact he was doing the right thing by helping his friend.

I think he is too nice of a guy, and as he said:

"No good deed goes unpunished"

Unfortunately, that is so true

OK, but here's where I am iffy....

RK is a:

  • former bounty hunter/bailbondsman
  • unusual kidnapping in past
  • called several times in the past
  • wants to remain anonymous and tells 911 so
How did LE clear him so completely in 24 hours? IIRC, they were saying the MR was NOT a suspect really early in, even before 24 hours they were putting out that he was just a normal Joe, doing his job. That was suspicious to me that day and it still bugs me now.

I am *NOT* saying MR was bad/evil/had mean intent/really deserved his kidnapping record. I think he is a nice guy in a bad place.

But I think it would make a lot more sense that they got a full and different story from him on December 11 about why he was there, checked that out and cleared him. Otherwise I can't see how LE would write him off as a suspect so quickly.
I don't think he wanted to remain anonymous. He didn't want to call the tip line because it was linked to a reward and as a county employee he was not eligible. He knew if they recovered the body he would not remain anonymous and said so.
I was a volunteer years ago with People Against Rape and would go to the hospital to be with the rape victims. Some were not "victims" at all and were claiming rape to get revenge on someone or to cover something up[one night stand] .I take the kidnapping charge in the same light ,since it was expunged.

I don't think the meter reader is guilty of anything, BUT I think what some posters sense is that this still doesn't all add up. Why did MR find the bag suspicious? And if he found it suspicious, why didn't police? What was the round white thing he saw? If it was a skull, how did it get BACK in the bag so that it rolled out of the bag when he picked it up in Dec.
I think Lanie might be right. LE has asked him to keep some things quiet.

I agree with Bill Scheaffer. This guy will be a problem for the prosecution at some point.I don't like him.At all.

But, even if the defense "picks apart" every statement he made in the GMA interview, they really (from what I can tell) won't find anything damaging. His story, (no matter how strange) has not changed during the past month or so. (Unlike stories of the other players in this situation.) I don't think I would put too much stock in what Sheaffer has to say.

Kathi Belich stated on Issues last night(1/12)
the reason JVM was having trouble with matching the
Source's LE leak to reality was the info in the
Source's LE leak is not accurate.
NOT ACCURATE!!

This was not mentioned last night while it was being watched and recorded here. I saw it on an early AM replay - wouldn't have known otherwise.

Lets give it some time and see what happens. We can't call everything we enjoy hearing 'truth'. We just can't. Based on what they have officially said they could indict the Anthony family, their neighbors, boyfriends or a ham sandwich.

to my knowledge, Kathi Belich is not working for the SA's office.

I think it was MR. Kronk (or Kronk's supervisor)who was speaking to DC on the phone in the vid. Perhaps out of frustration with the LE he finally had someone who might find the bag he found. IMO

I only caught bits and pieces of his interview but thought he sounded honest and credible- I cannot see the transcript nor the video so will have to catch it later on NG- I did hear him say something to the fact he parked there in August as he got done at 1:30 and didnt have to be back in the shop until 2;30- Did he go into detail if he just decided to get out of the truck and start looking around? What made him go looking? Just wondering if I missed anything we dont already know- thank you
