I wonder who is behind that website? it's not clear yet. it could be an opportunist or it could be her. We will find out soon enough.

http://www.facebook.com/people/Tia-Young/713984458

Curious and very serious if anyone can explain why a memorial fund is needed? For what? I just don't get it. ? Am I missing something?

Food for thought....The day before her last interview with the MX officials with her re-statement, she said she would not leave until DH was brought home....then after their meeting, it was reported she was moving back to CO and the van was there pronto to pack and move her on the same day. That is very usual. I've moved many times, and they pack you one/two days and it may be the next day or a few days later before they come with van to load it all. Strange. Why this all of a sudden change of plans? Was it the re-enactment? Was there a warning to her she had better move for her safety? Or was it just financial.....the company had it all scheduled and it would have been her dollar if she refused?

One part of my brain is saying that whatever her "plan" was ....went poof and may be the reason we are seeing "regret" or more emotion now. ?

Unless something comes out of the woodwork, I don't see this case (for DH or his family) going anywhere.

People do dangerous things all the time.
It's the spice of life.

Sadly, they paid a huge price for it. DH lost his life and TH lost her husband. That does not make TH any more guilty than anybody else that do things that are a little edgey.

She knows her husband is gone and that there will be no justice for him.

The blame here should be put on the thugs that did this.

JMO

respectfully disagree...there is no evidence either way to support that DH did lose his life. zip, zero, nada.

There's also no evidence he didn't lose his life. Zip, zero, nada!
No witnesses have spotted him coming ashore on his jetski anywhere. Nobody has spotted him wandering the streets of Mexico. If he's not dead, where is he? If the pirates didn't take his jetski, where is it?

Again...There is no evidence either way.

That's her sisters FB page right? She enjoys shooting guns. The page is not a memorial or anything to DH. It's a personal FB page.
I see nothing wrong with the picture.
A lot of people shot guns as a hobby.

Came across this today:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_x1-wcF5Yc

New (to me at least) funky details:

1. At about 2:31 Tiffany says that when the pirates came back she had to put David "back in the water."

Oh? When did she get him OUT of the water?

2. When asked if she believes Tiffany's story, David's mother says yes but shakes her head no. David's sister shakes her head both ways. David's father remains expressionless and motionless. Well, well, well.

<modsnip>

4. At about 5:46...why the long pause in the sentence, "Unfortunately, I have no..................proof." Hmm.

1) she said she had pulled him up to her jetski but could not lift him onto it right? So, if she had to let go of him, she would consider that putting him back in the water IMO.

2) do we have any body language experts here? Have they been cleared by Tricia?
So now are we saying DHs entire family is not being truthful?

<modsnip>

4) I'm sure she was trying to find the right words. Does not mean she was not being truthful.

1. lf she pulled him up to her jetski and could not lift him onto it, he was never OUT of the water to go back into it.

2. I just thought it was interesting. I am not saying anything regarding the truthfulness of DH's family.

<modsnip>

4. It seemed an awfully easy word to find in the sentence.

ETA: JMO, as always.

What are the donations for, if everyone from TH to Sigi to Stratfor has opined that his body will never be found?

It's not as if she has funeral expenses to pay for.

A reward for the return of his body? See above. All the big players have said it'll never be found.

To support his widow? Didn't she just go home to her family's 20-acre ranch? Where her father said anything she wants, she gets?

<modsnip>

It was created back on 10/8/10.....I guess before she "REALLY" understood the cartels.....

they are public kmowledge.

Seems like a lot of people in TH life shoot guns for a hobby.....it also seems to me that she would have access to quite a few people to assist her in something like this......perhaps the money she hoped to get from the webpage is going to pay for it...

I'm sure the people who have followed this case and would be on that site know why she is doing the interviews.
I see nothing wrong with the post.

<modsnip>

She also wanted to thank those who support her and pray for her.

Nothing wrong with the post.

I suffered severe dry mouth for months due to shock and adrenalin after my daughter was killed. I constantly chewed gum, which wasn't a normal thing for me. It's a physiological thing, not a grief thing. Just sayin'...

So sorry for your loss suzihawk! Thanks for the insight on the gum chewing.
Sometimes it really confuzzles me the things that are judged when it comes to family members of victims.

WARNING: TH is a victim in this case. While her comments in MSM can be discussed, they are to be discussed respectfully and FACTUALLY.

Any discussion or bashing of things like gum chewing, hair styles, dress colors, etc. will result in a recommendation for a minimum 3 day TO.

Also - we do NOT name innocent people on the peripheral of cases. That includes TH and DH's family members. Again - TO's will be recommended for posts of this nature.

Thanks!

Canadian businessman who disappeared in Mexico is found dead in trunk of torched rental car

Snipped:
A Canadian businessman who vanished in Mexico for over a week has been found dead in the trunk of his torched rental car, and his family says he was executed.

Daniel Dion, 51, was traveling near Acapulco on business when he disappeared.

Also snipped:
In an echo of Tiffany Hartley's case, who has said Mexican pirates killed her husband last month while jet skiing on a Texas border lake, Dion's family says Mexican police have done little to solve his disappearance.

"They basically say to the family to do the investigation yourself," Dion's niece Franceska told the Montreal Gazette last week. "This is completely unacceptable."

Three Americans Killed Along Mexican Border
Ciudad Juarez, Mexico (AHN) - According to U.S. officials, three Americans were killed this weekend during violence around the Ciudad Juarez, Mexico area.

The State Department has offered its condolences to the families of the American citizens, and said it will support the Mexican government in investigating the incidents.

BBM - Will the Mexican government investigate the murders of these 3 Americans???

http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcon...-juarez_03tex.ART.State.Edition1.42cf909.html

07:29 AM CDT on Wednesday, November 3, 2010

The weekend was the deadliest for U.S. citizens in Mexico since Feb. 1, when four were killed in different parts of the country. The largest previous single-city death toll for U.S. citizens in Mexico was three in June 2009 in Tijuana.

State Department figures show a steady rise in the number of U.S. citizens killed in Mexico. In the first six months of 2010, the latest figures available, 49 were victims of homicide, up from 37 for the same period in 2009 and 19 in the first half of 2008.

The vast majority were in border cities such as Juárez, Tijuana and Mexicali, which have been the hardest hit by drug violence. In some of the killings, the Americans apparently were in the company of Mexicans who were the targets.

Other Americans have been killed by stray bullets, and in at least one case, Americans were targeted by a drug gang: U.S. consular employee Lesley A. Enriquez and her husband, Arthur H. Redelfs, were gunned down March 13 in their SUV on a Juárez street.

That has nothing to do with what I posted and bolded.
The portion I bolded said: many cases of violent crime are never resolved by Mexican law enforcement.

It's a fact.
