It may be hard to tell without zooming in, but if you look at the three “Facing south on Fish Lake RD” photos, you may be able to see the hills on the road, which make it difficult to see oncoming vehicles.

Though it didn’t rain while we were there, perhaps because it had been raining off and on for the previous 36 or so hours, the ground was quite wet.

This picture shows the very spot where Ally collapsed:

It’s about 15 yards from where she was shot:

Oh my gosh... seeing where she collapsed is jolting. It doesn't look like random, to me.

I became overwhelmed, looking at the spot she died...the whole scene, just the feeling I get, is it does not seem random to me. I feel someone was in wait. It feels, to me, she was heading home from a run, and backed up to flee to the nearest house, after a bad encounter. I'm not saying it as fact... just a feeling I get.

How do you make a u-turn on those narrow roads?

I agree. With that much wooded area on both sides of such a narrow road, I think she would have been able to discern immediately if someone/ a vehicle was just passing by or if they were .. the only word I can think .. stalking her. She ran for the closest break in the trees. There was nowhere else to go. Jmo. Thank you for these, @inmyhumbleopinion

I’m sorry for the delay in responding: When I have a migraine, my brain doesn’t work so well ;).

The road is definitely narrow, but there were several cars that passed me (I’m sure many drivers were frustrated as we were driving at 5 - 10 mph), so perhaps it isn’t as narrow as it appears in pictures.

There is also a one-foot or so wide shoulder on each side, probably for drainage:

Here are some photos I haven’t posted yet that may give a better idea as to the width of the road:

There is a car coming from the other direction:

What does make u-turns challenging, IMO, is the fact that the road is full of hills and valleys, which makes seeing oncoming vehicles difficult, despite the road being virtually curve-free. Just between the corner of Fish Lake RD and W Rattalee RD and the home where Ally was found, I saw at least two “Hidden Driveway” signs.

However, precisely because of this, IMO, there are plenty of spaces on both sides of the road where you can pull over and turn around or wait for another car to pass. Personally, I believe it was one of spaces someone pulled into and lay in wait.

I would like to discuss this a bit more in detail, but this is getting way too long, so I will post separately with additional photos.

BBM...

Yes. Exactly how I feel. The photos helped me so much...I had a totally different picture in my mind, of that stretch of rural road before seeing the photos. Thank you so much for all you did!

Do you mean all along that road or just in the area she fell? That's pretty wild either way.

Thanks for the photos imho.
You are welcome, LR1.

Yes, up and down Fish Lake RD. People in the community still very much care about Ally, and they have been greatly affected by this truly senseless tragedy.

And the Bruegers have had to endure so, so much for more than two years.

And to think that this cowardly, pathetic individual who did this to Ally
is still walking free and doing whatever they please ...: It has to stop.

I can’t wait to see them arrested and make a complete fool of themselves in court.
