It has been confirmed (by me) that Wes did drive a black car at the time of Ally's murder. Just FYI.

I’m going to assume that you confirmed that Wes drove a black car through independent sources. I know you well enough to know that you wouldn’t just take his word for it. :)

Of course, it’s always possible to rent or borrow a car of a different color from the one you drive. And we don’t know for sure if the white car that was seen had anything to do with Ally’s murder. So the color of Wes’ car isn’t a big issue IMO.

Also just thought I would drop this here, sound like someone we know?

Narcissistic personality disorder - Wikipedia

"When their own ego is wounded by a real or perceived criticism, their anger can be disproportionate to the situation,[9] but typically, their actions and responses are deliberate and calculated.[6] Despite occasional flare-ups of insecurity, their self-image is primarily stable (i.e., overinflated).[6]

To the extent that people are pathologically narcissistic, they can be controlling, blaming, self-absorbed, intolerant of others' views, unaware of others' needs and the effects of their behavior on others, and insist that others see them as they wish to be seen.[6] Narcissistic individuals use various strategies to protect the self at the expense of others. They tend to devalue, derogate, insult and blame others, and they often respond to threatening feedback with anger and hostility."

We have spoken with Wes. We’ve interviewed him a couple of times now. He’s a suspect in this incident,” said Michigan State Police First Lt. Michael Shaw in March 2018.
Family, detectives still looking for clues in murder of Ally Brueger

Shaw said, “Sutherland, still a suspect, has no inside information on this investigation and the FBI is not involved.”
Ally’s killer still at large

As each day passes there are no answers and no suspect, which only adds to the pain this family must bear and live out day after day

State police still seek tips on Ally Brueger murder

New Video posted July 30, 2018 from WXYZ;
-- Ally's father @58 tells how it felt to walk upon the area where his daughter was killed.
-- At time-mark 1:27, MSP Lt. Shaw speaks, says Wes is a suspect in this instance!

If I were a friend of Ally's and knew that Wes was abusive the last thing that I would do is post about it here. Can you imagine living in the same area as Wes and accusing him of abuse? You'd be putting your life on the line or you'd be subject to harassment and intimidation. He'd want to eliminate or scare anyone who could testify to this in court. The fact that Wes admitted that he was shunned at Ally's funeral speaks volumes. The fact that her friends haven't become VI's may be because they know exactly who did this and they know he's reading.

Also, a colleague that I was close to hid her abuse for years--Ally may not have told anyone. Or Wes may have isolated her so that she had few close friendships in the end. She may not even have told her parents. They might have suspected something, of course.

I think that if her friends thought that this was a random "stranger" crime, one or more might be a VI here. The fact that they aren't, paired with WS's behavior on Websleuths, tells me that they suspect WS.

Oh yes! I think we instinctively knew this about Wes, but thanks for spelling it out so everyone can see it in black and white.

I'm going to assume, also, that LE has investigated what types of vehicles were driven by Wes' family and/or close associates as well as those driven by Ally's family and close associates. Just because details of the investigation haven't been made public doesn't mean that MSP and other local law enforcement agencies haven't done their due diligence.

Wes did not drive a light colored car when Ally was killed. His car was black and it may have been a Mustang or Chevy of some sort. Can't remember but yes, it was a black car.

Quick question (two, actually, lol): Might he have borrowed or driven someone else's car? Or rented a car? Or do we know for certain the only vehicle in Weston's possession at the time of her murder was his black Mustang/Chevy?

Sorry, @Betty Davis Eyes! I was in the midst of making my post when you posted your reply to Tricia.

I didn't intend to argue with you. In fact, I was making a bit of a rhetorical argument. ;) lol. Awkward.

I agree with you. <3

No problem. I know we were on the same page :D

I'd like to go back to the beginning of the case for a minute. I found this 2016 article on Ally. It is wonderful.

Murder on the mind: The hunt for Ally Brueger's killer

“She went out that Saturday to run and she never came back and this poor dog doesn’t understand," Nikki said. "When he came to us in January, he had separation anxiety issues and even though Ally was living someplace else, she would come and visit often because she liked to spend time with us and the dog. When she moved back and she would leave for work or to go on runs, I would tell him, ‘Ally’s going, but she’ll come back.’ But she didn’t come home from that run and her car is out there and she’s not in it and she's not in her room. She’s missing and he doesn’t understand.”

Ally’s parents don’t understand, either.

...

While former colleagues praised her as an excellent nurse, it was writing that was her passion and for which she was pursuing a master’s degree online, with hopes of eventually attaining a doctoral degree.

Like most writers, Ally had a love of reading, which her mother nurtured right from the start. Nikki has a picture from New Year’s Eve 1984 showing her reading the newspaper to her 6-week-old daughter. In the early years, Nikki remembers she had to read to her five books a night, every night. Ally’s favorites were “Good Dog, Carl” and “Goodnight Moon.” Nikki would check out at least 50 books a week at the Holly Public Library to satisfy her daughter.

Ally grew up to be a fan of authors, including Stephen King, Ray Bradbury and David Sedaris, whom she went to see with her mother when he appeared at Michigan State University. She also loved poetry; Nikki retrieves a thick tome titled “The Poetry of Pablo Neruda.” She has another book of poetry as well, one in which a poem titled “Pacifier,” written by a 17-year-old Ally, then a Holly High School student, was published in a contest, as well as her thoughts on the piece.

Ally explained her poem “came from a general hope for keeping the next generation of children open-minded. In writing it I was reminded of my own childhood, and the kind of life I might like to provide for my future family. In writing I also became aware of how impressionable children are, and how quickly life as a youngster flies by. I tried to capture the most precious moments of a young person’s life in the poem, and the effect they have on the witnessing parent.”

ETC

I have previously put my thoughts about a possible perp on here sometime ago. So won't recycle that.

I have already stated too what I think points away from him as a suspect, so don't want to repeat that either.

But, new evidence is from Tricia re the black car he drove at the time - so that puts means and opportunity out the window. LE stated they only wanted tips relating to a light coloured sedan seen around the time of the murder. His tyres were checked by LE so I think they are on a sticky wicket now.

He lied, LE said but then admits everyone lies to them.

MO.

BBM - can you post the link where LE admits everyone lies to them? TIA
