The FBI, along with Detroit police, searched the family’s home on Custer looking for evidence that may be linked to the toddler’s disappearance.

The FBI would not comment on the investigation.

About 65 volunteers gathered at Metropolitan United Methodist Church this morning to join the search for 2-year-old Bianca Jones, who has been missing since Friday.

Moreover, an inmate at the Wayne County Jail has been interviewed by police about what he knows about Lane and how Bianca has gone missing.

Now what would an inmate know? Unless this means whoever the Dad's present cell mate is while he's being held?

Either dad was talking to someone while incarcerated, or someone close to dad has been incarcerated and LE has not made that public.

I have no working computer speakers. LE has confirmed DL was spotted behind the Comm. College? This must mean there is survellience at the community college? Can any locals confirm if there is survellience at the community college?

I know - there are a few places along West Jefferson there that one could drive up right next to the river. The parking lot between Joe Louis and the condo sticks out in my mind. I'm not sure though - wouldn't you be afraid someone in those condos would see something....

Looks like no one has posted this Fox 2 video from last night's 10:00 news. I was too tired to log in and post (too much red wine during dinner!) but was sickened to hear the report about a witness having seen Bianca's dad spanking her so severely the previous day that she told him to stop! The comment comes at @ 4:24 in the video.

Of course Bianca's Dad couldn't take her back to her mama after probably leaving marks on her from beating her...............JMO. :furious:

A source told The News that Lane scored poorly when asked two specific questions: "Did you have anything to do with her disappearance?" and "Do you know where she is now?"

Lane is being held by police on a traffic warrant.

Meanwhile, investigators have obtained surveillance camera footage in an attempt to corroborate Lane's carjacking report, the source said.

Lane is seen on a school surveillance tape dropping off a 15-year-old nephew at approximately 8:10 a.m. Friday.

Police interviewed the nephew, who said Bianca was in the car when he arrived at school.

Investigators also have interviewed witnesses who reported seeing Lane between 8 a.m. and when he reported his daughter missing around 10 a.m. Friday.

One witness reported seeing Lane running from the scene of the carjacking. Lane was carrying a firearm, according to the source.

The jacket was shown to Bianca's mother who said that it is not hers.

But what if Dad or the girlfriend gave her the jacket? Maybe mom had never seen it.

OMGosh - I wonder who this witness is (that saw him hitting baby B). I'm just amazed that anyone could ever hit a child. What can a 2 year old possibly do that would warrant a beating - NOTHING.

So chances are he beat this baby to death and made up the carjacking story. Why can't he just man up to what he did and tell us where B is. He's a coward of the worst sort.

Well that's odd. If the nephew saw B in the car 8:10 AM (alive I assume), what happened after that? If she was alive, he would have had to kill her in the car (vs. out in public). Meaning the chances of a dead body in the car are pretty great.

1 - if he killed her prior, then put her in the car "sleeping".
2 - if he killed her in the car, then dumped her

Wouldn't a cadaver dog hit on that pretty quickly? I have a hard time wrapping my head around him killing her somewhere else then dumping her. That wouldn't be an accident (beating) IMHO.

BBM-this is the first I have heard of this! I wonder if they saw him running from the scene of where he said the carjacking took place or where the car was ultimately found. Did the witness see the carjacking??? Or just him running with a gun and no car in sight?
