and what a father he is . . . spending time incarcerated on drug charges ! Kudos to going to Community College, though.

Sadly, that doesn't surprise me. Let's hope LE finds enough evidence to go with a no body charge and this man who likes to consider himself a 'dad' fesses up with what really happened to Bianca. Or LE finds her soon!

Or the 15 year old nephew, or the other childs mom who resides with DL comes forward with what happened.

Just to add, more confirmation his FB writings are nothing more than lipservice. Exactly what I expected. Talks the talk, but doesn't walk the walk.

I am thinking the same thing. This guy had a long history of being incarcerated. There is no way he is going to blab or confess to some cellmate while he is just in for a warrant or a traffic issue. imo

But it does happen all the time. I think DL is a guy that just likes to blab his thoughts out to anyone who will listen (see his Facebook page). The other guy was a captive audience (no pun intended). As long as he sat there and said nothing - maybe ask a few questions and appear sympathetic, DL might feel free to open up to another prisoner. I think a little time off for passing on this information is well spent if it helps find Bianca. I doubt they would give time off if the info was not true. jmo

Father of missing Detroit 2-year-old reportedly not cooperating with police

Detroit— The father of a missing 2-year-old girl has hired an attorney and has stopped cooperating with investigators, a police source told The Detroit News.

Investigators have been working to corroborate the story told by Dandre Lane, father of Bianca Jones, who claimed he was carjacked at gunpoint Friday morning with his daughter still in the backseat of his 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis near Brush and Carter streets, just north of East Grand Boulevard.

The car was recovered a few minutes after police responded to the call, but Bianca was gone...
