IIRC the car seat was found in D'Andres running vehicle. Remember he stated two men where in the 'red boxy car'? So in DL's mind it probably made sense that one of the occupants of the little red boxy car followed the carjacker in his car stolen car to the alley, and then they took out little Bianca and drove off with her, without a child car seat, in that little red boxy car that he could not describe (not even a similiar make or model). The only thing missing to DL's story is the ransom note. (stuck to the window with chewing gum).

Does DDOT also contract for school transportation? Some school districts in MI handle their school bussing through the mass transit system, especially for high schoolers. So it could have been a DDOT bus that was transporting students not a normal bus on a normal route with normal stops.
I'm just thinking out loud. Being that I am map-retarded, is there any way that the driver on the 36 route could have seen the alley where the car was found?

  • #584
So sad. :( I will never understand why people do these things??? :(

Do we have a time line?

8:10 - Dropped 15yo off at school

What time was he at the college?
What time was the carjacking?
What time did he report the carjacking?

I updated the map to include times and teh sources of those times, so be careful which ones you rely on...

Not 100% sure on Route 36 - it is the closest I could get to the car jacking location....

Wasn't the car parked in an area where you really wouldn't park a car? I'm relying on memory here, but wasn't it overgrown with weeds - not somewhere you'd park? And then he left it running and walked away. That would be memorable, I think.

It was found in an alley, reportedly. But the bus driver is supposed to have seen him driving it, not leaving it. (A different witness reported seeing him leave it in the alley.)

  • #587
Yes, it was discovered in the alley, but the witness already knew that and could be fabricating that they saw it. Who could prove otherwise? Maybe they are hoping for some reward money? I just don't understand why they would wait until now (if, in fact, they did wait).

I imagine that police are flooded with tips and calls about this case. There must be something about these two witnesses that they are not telling us. Perhaps something LE never told the media, but these two witnesses mentioned. I think they are getting close.

I see that DL and his lawyer did not take the advice of NG and her guests to stop talking about the case. The more he talks the worse he looks.

BBM. I don't know that someone would immediately think he is ditching his car. It's winter, so he may have thought the driver was running back to a house or garage for something while leaving the car running. Lots of people leave their car running to warm up, or to run in for something and people like me with keyless entry via the numeric pad can let the car run and warm up while locked.

jmo

But the driver side door was open and the car was running and so was the driver.

I wonder what it is about this tip that makes it stand out to LE. Were other doors open, as well? Were lights on? Radio? Something...

  • #589
Yeah - there is a google map of detroit bus stops and both in the area of the carjacking are on rout #36. I noted them both on the map, one is at Oakland & Euclid and the other is one block north at Oakland & Philadelphia.

There is absolutely no new information in this one. It came out right after Dante was on NG...this pretty much sums how I feel about NG myself, and that interview in particular. Although, once again, I think that Dante did have something to do with this. Either he knows more than he telling, he's covering for someone else, or he killed Bianca himself. MOO.

Kind of :( that searches won't continue, but after this long, little Bianca could be anywhere. If she was left alone somewhere, alive, she couldn't have survived in the cold temps. Poor thing

I took it to mean that this is the last time they will be using volunteer searchers. Maybe they have narrowed down the search area and need to focus on the recovery.

I read that yesterday NMK and thought the same - I loathe the woman so it made me chuckle...

Kind of OT, but I think it's interesting that we as sleuthers are quick to call Bianca's dad a narcissist when he mentions he wants the focus on finding his baby and not on the negative things being said about him. Saying he should not be concerned about what people are saying about him and only focused on finding his baby.

But then in Lisa Irwin's case her mother said she didn't care what people thought of her, refused to talk/discuss some things, and proclaimed her innocence yet people (including myself) crucified her anyway.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending either of these people, just find that interesting. That's all. ;)

There is a very interesting type of investigation called statement analysis. It is used to determine how to tell if a person is lying. It is used by many in LE and the FBI, as well as therapists, teachers, etc. There is a great site, for more information.

You want to view anyone as truthful until they show you otherwise. In this case, the focus should be on Bianca, but DL tries to take to focus off of her and put it on himself. Notice the order in which he mentions things that are important. and the things he refuses to talk about. I am a newby on this topic but I find it interesting- especially since DL is always talking.

Community members, firefighters join Bianca Jones search

Detroit girl missing since Friday

I'm late on this, but I wanted to say how glad I am that firefighters were helping, especially with the abandoned buildings. Environments like that can be very hazardous, especially for those who aren't trained to navigate them safely.

I noticed the same thing, the order and the emphasis that he places on certain topics makes it seem that no matter what he says, he has no desire to actually get the focus onto Bianca.

I transcribed one of his interviews and have been working on the others. He talks about himself first, lots about himself, lots about Banika, then he moves onto Bianca. He always talks about himself first. I have no doubt but that is how he feels in general. Himself first, then everyone else.

DL: “Okay, I want to start by saying, there was, there’s never been an issue with me and my daughter’s mother. I mean, you know, we are not, like, you know, we not married or anything like that, so, I mean, you know, we have situations, like any couple you’s, or, any individuals, who, you know, have a child, you know. We, we made discussions, I told her, I was like, I was not willing to have Bebe in my home until I had a safe environment for her to be in and once I provided that safe environment for her to be in, I was willing for her to come over there at any time. Me and her mother spoke several times, and she was like, whenever you’re ready, come get her, you know, we, we never, we never argued about these kind of things, or anything like that. On her birthday, because she hadn’t like, they, we, they hadn’t made, like, any big plans, you know, cause financially things are, you know, hard for people right now. I was like, well, can I come get her, you know, cause I got the girls and we’re going to see the Lion King in 3D, and she was like, okay, fine, you know, and we all, we sat there, we, we had a great time. We watched that movie and we had a great time. And I took her home, with her momma, we sang happy birthday, and, and everything was just going well. And me and her mother were talking, and we both have situations that we’re trying to work out, financially, educationally, and we said that we were gonna do whatever we could do to work together to make sure that we were there for each other, so that we could be better parents for our daughter. That is the whole point of me, sh, when she called that d, the night before all this happened, she called, and she talked to Bianca. Her uncle talked to Bianca. You know, so all these allegations of people saying I abuse my child, or my child was unresponsive, she talked to her mother that night, you know.”
Reporter: “And agreed to have you keep her for a month?”
DL: “Right, and agreed to have me keep her for a month, and I would come over there and get some more clothes for her and she would stay with me for the month. I would bring her back before the holidays, so that she could spend the holidays with her and come January, when both of us are to start back school, we would set up a schedule so that we both could attend school, and we both could be safe, and, and, and we both could be just comfortable about where she was going to be at, you know. I have another 2 year old, she’s a little bit, she’s only a few months older than Bianca, and like, they, they play together, and I told her, I was like, it’s no use in Bianca going to day care, when she has a sister here that’s her age, that she can bond with, and she has cousins that are her age, that she can bond with. I w, I’m that type of uncle, I will have every kid over my house, you know. And we will play, I will play with the kids, we watch movies, I watch, my daughter loves Hannah Montana, I don’t like Hannah Montana, but I’ll watch it with her, you know. I’ll joke around with her and I play with her. Everything was going smoothly, up until this incident. And that’s why, I don’t under, I, I really don’t understand a, tese things are being put out there like that.”
Reporter: “Well, I, I also want to touch on, um, Jerry told me that you and, um, Banika have been friends since you know, preteen. Like, how old were you guys when you met?”
DL: “I’ve been friends, I’ve been basically, a member of Bianca, Banika’s family since I was, like, 12, you know, a surrogate son to her grandmother, you know. Me and her uncle, childhood friends, we went to school together. I met Banika when I was 13, and we have been friends since we were thirteen years old.”
Reporter: “Okay, and, um, you indicated that you’ve, uh, talked to Banika, and she’s been giving you, just a pep talk, telling you to stay positive…”
DL: “Because she’s not used to seeing me like this.”
Reporter: “Okay.”
DL: “The first thing she said when she saw me after the incident was, ‘Dre,calm down. I’m the one who’s the flaky one, you’re the strong one. You have to be strong. We have to find Bebe.’ And that’s the only thing that she’s been saying, ‘Dre, stay strong, we’re going to find her. She’s safe.’ When I talked to her last night, and she’s like, ‘Dre, you know she’s out there, she’s safe,’ and, I mean, we just want her to come home, that’s, that’s all, there’s, there’s no. She didn’t, there was no evil words, no malicious words, no well you did something, none of that. It was just, everything gonna be okay, I love you, I love you, Bianca’s gonna be fine, and she’s gonna be home. We gonna put all this behind us, and continue on our path that we trying to be on.”
Attorney: “And we’re gonna conclude there.”
Reporter: “Okay.”
Attorney: “Thank you.”
Reporter: “I appreciate it.”
Attorney: “He, he’s been through enough today.”
Reporter: “Yes, thank you. And thank you for talking about your family.”
DL: “I, I just, any information that I just want, I just want the focus to be on my daughter. I want my daughter found. I want her found safely. I want her brought back to her mother, and father, who love her.

Especially to a bus driver who drives that route every day (several times a day?) and knows ever rock, tree and bush like the back of his hand. Maybe not much going on, so something like this would stand out in his mind. He may have reported it when he first heard about the case. LE DID say they are reviewing tips they had received earlier. Something is brewing...

It's possible the bus drivers route and time of that route coincides with whatever timeline LE has put together.

Remember, LE has stated they are scrutinizing survelliance video. Perhaps the bus driver's witness statement has been supported by survelliance video.

"It's their job to focus on all leads and I'm the easiest target right now," said Lane. "I just wish they'd focus on finding the right person."

It's law enforcement 101 to rule out those closest to the victim. If DL was not responsible, he'd be pounding down LE's doors and wouldn't leave until he could be ruled out.

Authorities, including FBI agents, spent Monday searching Lane's Detroit home. "There's nothing there," said Lane. "I really just think all of this is just to scrutinize me."

Hello, LE 101, rule out those closest to the victim first. Random stranger abductions are incredibly rare. Carjackers ditching a car a few blocks away and keeping a child even rarer. In fact, I can't think of a single case in which a carjacker found an unexpected child in the back seat and didn't release the child within a few hours.

Johnson says Lane has fully cooperated with searches and even gave consent to authorities to search his home. "Instead they want to go in with guns draws and cameras rolling," said Johnson. "If they want access, we'll give them whatever they want."

I find it incredibly odd Mr. Lanes attorney is focusing on how LE searched his clients home, rather than calmly stating we are aware LE has to rule out my client so they can focus on other avenues. We are working diligently to do so in order to find Bianca.... Come on, we are talking about a MISSING CHILD here, and Johnson's main focus is on how searches of the childs parents homes are being conducted?

"I pray that the people who did this they just panicked," said Lane

They panicked, or YOU panicked Mr. Lane? Me thinks this tidbit about panicking is one of those bits of truth seeping out in D'Andres 'story'.

Time to come clean and tell LE the truth about what happened to Bianca and where she is.

JMO

I thought it was interesting that when DL was talking, on NG, about his house being searched, he said something to the effect,
'they're not going to find any proof there'.
