I seem to recall DL making statements that he used a small wooden paddle to spank the children. IMO this photo is no paddle! This is a CLUB!(weapon).

Also, I cant help but think that Banikas refusal to believe DL had anything to do with what happened stems from the guilt she must feel for entrusting her beautiful BeBe to him

Also, no court today? Is that what I am reading? I thought it was going to be 3 consecutive days?

The meeting with RB interests me :waitasec: I wonder who he is and his relationship to DL I cant find any court records on him yet? I cant seem to locate a site for a Wayne County Records search? Could this be the inmate questioned that was mentioned previously?

The 15-year-old nephew of missing 2-year-old Bianca Jones' father, Dandre Lane, said he was with Lane the morning Bianca went missing.

T* Lane said he was with his uncle Dandre Lane, Bianca and two other children the night before and the morning when Bianca was reported missing by her father.

"(Bianca) was good. She was normal," T* Lane said. "My uncle carried her to the car, and my little cousin buckled her up. She was awake."

Oh what a big "man" he is to make up a club to beat his children, and one to death (IMHO). And such a smooth liar too. I saw the interview where he talked about a paddle as big as a pen to "pop" them when they needed to sit on the pot. Yah, he popped them alright.

He's no man, he's a coward. and, IMHO, a killer! I pray this murder charge sticks.

The preliminary exam continues on the 27th. I too do not understand why the days are not consecutive. Something to do with court scheduling, maybe?

The way I understand it, a preliminary hearing is like a probable cause hearing. Both sides present evidence to the judge and he makes a determination on whether there is enough evidence to continue with prosecution, or dismiss charges if there is not.

It does not say what RB does/did for a living on FB. It looks like his wife worked at a daycare at one point...

The bus driver will say they say DL/DL's car at a specific spot at a particular time - think the relative percision of bus routes!

I wonder if they will even call Banika to the stand. She does not seem to want to believe DL had anything to do with what happened to her baby So she may not make a good witness for the prosecution.

We haven't heard from Banika in a bit.... she may have come on board since LE filed charges. Honestly, I've always wondered if her prior behavior was due to working with LE, or in cooperation with LE. Making it appear as if she supported DL.... I could be wrong, but she may surprise us all when she testifies. This is after all her daughter, and she's had some time for it to sink in. I'm going to take a wait and see attitude as I believe she will find the strength or has found the strength to come through for her daughter.

Do we know if it was originally scheduled to be a single day and then continued the 27th? Or was it decided to continue the 27th after Monday's testimony?

I wonder, because it occured to me, perhaps DL will try to make a deal rather than allowing his child to testify against him. Or if the single day's testimony was enough for TJ to advise DL it isn't looking good for him.

Thank you, Donjeta, that pretty much puts to bed the possibility the hearing was delayed by request of TJ. Though, something may happen between now and the 27th. We'll see. If DL has even an ounce of humanity in him, he'll try to make some kind of deal, and plea to something rather than allowing this to go to trial, for the sake of his living children. I won't hold my breath, knowing how larger than life his ego is, but I can hope he'll do the right thing.

Back to DL's 8 yr old daughters testimony for a moment.

The home Bianca died in, is pretty small. IA reported Bianca snored all the time, but didn't make any sounds that night. My home is probably similiar in square footage to their home. My son rarely snores, but when he is in a deep sleep his breathing is heavy enough, I can hear it down stairs while his room is upstairs.

My point being, even if Bianca did not snore, her breathing should have been heard.

I'm a little confused on the time it is believed Bianca succumbed to her injuries. IA testified she heard nothing overnight, while I seem to recall when the charges were filed it was reported they believed she died the morning of her disappearance. I wonder if by morning, they mean after midnight?
