“You mentioned that your Uncle hit you on the thigh with a stick or paddle one time?

Nephew: “Yes.”

“And it was all in fun?”

Nephew: “Yes.”

I guess I am stupid. So the stick did not cause pain and was "all in fun" and yet it was used to "discipline" potty accidents.

How is a fun, non hurting stick going to accomplish "discipline'? you can't have it both ways.
If a beautiful baby were not dead it would be laughable - this BS.

I hope someday someone can convince that young man that this sort of thing isn't normal and it isn't what all families are like. I think there must be a special place in hell for everyone who uses teenagers as pawns in covering up murder.

Now we have to wait a few more weeks.....

Also from the link Guinevere posted in the previous post:

FBI Agent Christopher Hess testified Lane was unable to explain his whereabouts on Dec. 2 from 8:55 a.m. to 9:40 a.m., the time between phone calls.

In the video, Lane buried his head in his hands as he explained what he did that morning. When Hess asked him the time of the alleged carjacking, Lane said, "I can't remember … I really can't remember. It's not like I was looking at the clock."

Lane's 16-year-old nephew, who stayed at Lane's house the night before Bianca disappeared, testified Lane hit his daughter with a stick because she had defecated on herself.

Yes, IMO he needs help or guidance sooner rather than later. IMOo this kid is yet another person whom dl has mistreated. He is a victim of this crime in a sense, JMOO. Again JMOO, abuse hurts way more than the individual targeted by the abuser!

It's so clear that D'Andre coached the 16-year-old to lie for him! I wonder if the kid is frightened of him. The video added that in his statement to police, he said Bianca was bouncing around. In his testimony, he said he never saw her that morning.

Most telling to me is that D'Andre said he pulled down the blanket covering Bianca and she was looking at him. Why completely cover a child who was awake?

I bless every day he remains behind bars and his remaining six children and various young relatives are away from him. I believe Bianca and the other little girl are not the only children he abused. I hope that, with time, their parents will bring them forward to tell police what happened to them. It would develop a pattern of behavior.

Couldn't he just have said, "it was three seconds before I called 911 to report my daughter's abduction"

No, wait, he didn't. And it all goes downhill from ther

Timelines, them tricky beasts.

I feel certain that Lane coached and threatened his nephew. In an interview with a street reporter, the teen concludes his comments with, "I have no reason to lie." If he were telling the truth, there would be no reason to justify his version of the story. :moo:

--the nephew was clearly lying in that "street interview" , i think he was coached by d'andre AND the woman standing w/ him (his mom?)

--in the video here:

http://www.wxyz.com/dpp/news/region...ents-before-reported-kidnapping#ixzz1uZtfmj71

--reporter kimberley craig does say that d'andre's attorney had told her that the nephew was going to testify that he had seen bianca "bouncing around that morning"----however, when he took the stand, he testified that he did not even see her that morning.

--i wish she had elaborated more on what else he said---he was in the car after all---did he stick to his story of the 8 year old buckling her in? etc...

Don't like seeing Bianca's thread fall off the first page.

Seems like it is going to be a long wait until the 29th. Wonder how that wait is going for D'Andre... meanwhile his daughter is out there somewhere. Somewhere he knows and so far isn't telling. :furious:

I thought about Bianca and Banika on Mother's Day. I hope Banika was with family and friends who helped lift her spirits on what must have been a difficult day. I sincerely hope that she is beginning to realize that Bianca is not coming home and that, in all likelihood, the little girl's father is responsible for her death

  • #671
Thanks for the bump BDE. I was thinking about Bianca too late last evening when I read a young boys remains were found (on the west coast iirc) who had fallen into a river.

I'm so hoping mother nature or God reveals Bianca's remains. Clearly it appears unlikely at this point her dna contributor is willing to do so. (I hate the SD word, so chose dna contributor instead. )

Bumping for Bianca. It's going to be a gorgeous weekend in metro-Detroit. Bianca should be outdoors enjoying the warmth and sunshine, playing with her cousins and friends, going to a park, etc. Instead, this beautiful little girl was probably tossed into the Detroit River or thrown away like trash somewhere by her "father".

You're not going to get away with this D'Andre. Justice is coming for Bianca soon. :smiliescale:

Bumping for Bianca.

May she be found soon.. And may justice come swiftly!:please:

Bumping for Bianca. I've been thinking of you sweetie. thinking of how you should be outside enjoying and discovering all the new things a 2 year old should be discovering. Feeling the soft grass between your toes, enthralled with each and every new discovery and milestone.

Still holding out hope you are found and your family can give you a proper burial. All the while knowing God just lent you a body for your beautiful soul. You're safe now, and one day, we will get to meet you in heaven. Until then run and play in heaven sweetie. Justice is coming.

Bumping for Bianca. My little girl is in the throes of the "terrible twos". Most of my days are spent oscillating between laughter and frustration. It's a wonderful, but trying time of discovery and exhausting fun. Bianca deserved a patient, loving and understanding daddy, who could appreciate this time with his daughter. And see the wonderment of learning and growth that the toddler years offer. It's not fair that, instead, she got this selfish, egotistical, man-boy.

I am so sorry, baby-girl. You deserved better.

:bump: Bumping for Bianca. D'Andre Lane will be in court today for what I hope will be his final appearance before the case goes to trial. I hope and pray for justice for beautiful little Bianca :scale:

I hope the locals who participate on this thread didn't incur any damage from the storms last night. DH spread lawn patch in some sparse areas of the backyard on Saturday, so it was nice to get the heavy rains to saturate it :)

By Steve Pardo
The Detroit News

Detroit— The father of a missing 2-year-old who claimed his daughter disappeared after he was carjacked was ordered Tuesday to stand trial on first-degree murder and child abuse charges.

May 29, 2012 4:00 PM

DETROIT (WWJ) – D’Andre Lane of Detroit will stand trial for the murder and disappearance of his 2-year-old daughter, Bianca Jones.
