MI - Bianca Jones, 2, Detroit, 2 Dec 2011 - #4 - *D. Lane guilty*

  • #801
I just checked. Another 24 hours without a peep, not even a sentence or two summarizing yesterdays testimony. It's as quiet as the night before Christmas for this trial, why?
Babies getting murdered and tossed like trash and nothing. Nada. Silence. Crickets chirping. :furious:

I have not forgotten you, Bianca. I wish I were closer. I'd take the time and sit in court every day and report myself if I could.

We know how Banika feels. Where is the rest of Bianca's family? Where are those who are not buying DL's story? Why are they not speaking to the media? Why are they not vocalizing?

Still praying for justice. :praying:

I went through 48 pages of google results and found the above article plus two places that reposted that article. Unbelieveable.

If his daughter is testifying I would guess the prosecution is still presenting their case.

thank you! Just thank you for taking the time to go through 48 pages. Amazing how difficult it has been to find updates on this case. I've been back and forth with the kiddo and supervising homework and am just catching up on this thread now!

After reading the article you linked dated 09/24, where the teen testified he was awake until 3-4am but heard no cries. None, nada, no crying at all......

It will be interesting to see where this goes. The people in the home have contradictory testimony.

I hope Bianca haunts every one of them in their nightmares nightly.

I'm appalled to see those closest to her treat her like garbage and that is exactly what they are doing.

off to finish up catching up reading and finish supervising homework.

Court is scheduled to resume tomorrow morning. Praying there are no more delays.

Still thinking of you, Bianca. :rose:

The mother of Bianca Jones believes her daughter is still alive and was possibly sold.

I really hope we hear from Bianca's family members who do not buy D'Andre's cockamamy story once the trial is over. I can only imagine their silence at this time is due to not wanting to distract from the matter at hand and ensuring Bianca receives justice.

Reporting on this case is spotty at best. Also from the article I just posted:

Rico Blackwell, an old friend of Lane's said he saw him driving and talked to him on Dec. 2, the day Lane said his daughter was stolen.

Blackwell said he ran into Lane between an hour and 1 hour and 45 minutes before the 911 call and there were no children in the car. Based on the timeline, Bianca Jones should have been with her father.

I spent several hours running various errands and was in and out of the car, all the while listening to WWJ radio - news 24/7. Not one mention of the D'Andre Lane trial - nada, zip, zilch. Frequent updates about the corruption trial of former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick & cronies, as well as ongoing updates on the possibility that the remains of former Teamster leader, Jimmy Hoffa, might have been located in Roseville, northeast of Detroit.

Later, a visibly flustered Lane puts his head in his hands when Quincy repeatedly asks him to account for a 35-minute gap between the time he was allegedly carjacked and placed a call to his roommate for help.
Lane told the officer he "can't remember everything" and didn't call 911 because "I was messed up."

<snip>

"I was keeping her up. She kept on trying to nod out. I popped her on the butt, like 'come on baby, get up,'" Lane told Quincy.

There is nothing about D'Andre's reactions that make sense. Not one thing. Who pops their 24 month old kid from 1 am to 3 am to keep them awake because they kept nodding out due to falling out of bed?

I wonder when the daughter is going to testify.... I hope this isn't a case of mom bogin out. I'm sort of worried about that, mom deciding the child can't testify for some reason.

Praying the jury gets this right!

You got that right! I don't believe that Bianca "fell out of bed" in the wee hours. I think that she wet the bed and woke up when she realized that she was wet and uncomfortable. "Daddy dearest" had a fit and spanked the little girl so hard that she was probably rendered nearly unconscious. D'Andre tried to keep her up because he feared that if she went to sleep, Bianca would never wake up. And she didn't.

I'm worried about the daughter not testifying, as well. When it was reported last week that she couldn't appear in court because her mother was sick, I was ready to shout horse hash on the situation :furious: The child is a key witness, and the jury needs to hear from her. :moo:

I am worried about the 8 yr old's mom pulling her out as well. Especially because the teen nephew seems to be covering for his uncle. Even at the start the teen said he saw Bianca that morning and she was 'fine' in the car. So he is stuck with that previous statement now.

I don't understand what power D'Andre wields over these folks, how they can be duped by his "charm", or how they can allow themselves to be bullied into submission. This is likely what's happened with Bianca's mother, the nephew, the fiancee, and the mother of the 8-year-old daughter. They have probably all been threatened and told that they should not say anything bad about Lane - or else. :moo:

I'm wondering, if the 8 yr olds mother refuses to allow her to testify 1)would she be held in contempt of court? (or something similiar?) 2)Can the 8 yr old's testimony from the preliminary hearing be presented?

Of course I hope we're worried over nothing and she'll testify soon.
(and that she and her mom are ok.)
