MI - Bianca Jones, 2, Detroit, 2 Dec 2011 - #4 - *D. Lane guilty*

 • #1,161
The remarks got even more heated when Lane began addressing Evans by her first name, repeatedly calling her "Vonda" and saying "you're a liar" as he was being escorted from the courtroom.

Lane's attorney, Terry L. Johnson, said his client lashed out because he's "upset" and "emotional."

"It was out of character… he was just sentenced to life in prison," Johnson told reporters after the hearing.

I beg to differ Mr. Johnson. It was completely in character for this man.

While it was disconcerting to see/hear D'Andre talking back to Judge Evans, it's not terribly surprising. Lane has no regard for women and totally disrespects all of them - including the mothers of his children. What a piece of work

All that talk about disciplining others is simply a means to deny the fact he has no self discipline- and he knows it. :censored:

In her statement before pronouncing sentence, Judge Evans said that Lane wanted to exert control over his women and children but that he had no self-control.

D'Andre got exactly what he deserved. He is another person who should never see light of day.

Suppose some thugs carjacked him and got his child as well. How the heck would DL know that she is alive at this point in time and that she will be found?

Exactly! This guy is really something.

Judge Evans certainly knew exactly who he was and read his trees, as my gramma used to say.

And with the lack of control he exhibited in the courtroom when this lowly (in his mind) female pronounced his sentence, he proved her (and ours) point for her.

I just watched the video replay of the sentencing. I saw it live but was amazed again at how arrogant and disrespectful both D'Andre and his attorney were in front of Judge Evans.

Nasty, arrogant <mod snip>. His actions right there show pathological narcissism. (I'm not armchair diagnosing him with that particular PD, he could have a number of other PD listed in Axis II with narcissistic behaviors).

His body language when he walked into the courtroom and how he stood in front of the judge while she spoke to him says a lot. Calling her by her first name was an attempt to demean her and strip her of the dignity of her postion in the courtroom.

Calling her a liar was both dismissive and demeaning.

Can you imagine what he would be like to handle in a one on one confrontation within a relationship?

I have no doubt after watching that scene that he would have no qualms about getting physical with anyone---anyone---when he felt his grandiose ego (false self) was being threatened in any perceived or slightest manner.

This man is dangerous to everyone in society. I hope he is locked up for a very long time. I thought the judge said at least 11 yrs and no more than 30? Did I hear that correctly?

God help the community when he gets out.

The 11-30 yr sentence is for the child abuse. He got life for the murder.

BBM Amen!!!!

He's used to getting his way with the women who have been in his life. Thankfully there will be no more opportunity for him to pray on weak women.

As Cubby said Life without the possibility of parole on the Murder Charge. Additional 11-30 for the Child Abuse and being a habitual offender.

thank you Cubby! Good, he's not going to be able to charm the other inmates. I hope they eat him up and show him he's not the king of the world.

ETA: sorry for being so blunt in my opinion of this fool. I hope I didn't offend of our members with my choice of word. I rarely do that but he would have set me off if he'd talked to me like that I would have fixed his red wagon but good.

I LOVE me some Judge Vonda !!!!!

I KNEW that she was going to hand him his arse on a chafing dish after we saw the way she questioned his poor little 8 yr old daughter. When that judge heard the sick story about the urine soaked panties being jammed down that little girls throat, you could see the steam coming out of her ears. I just knew she was going to come at him hard. THANK YOU JUDGE, well done.

Excellent post!

BBM: The screen-grab that many media sources have used from the perp's "speech" yesterday shows exactly how this guy acted from the get-go: DL's chin up in the air is a clear indicator of arrogance personified. Thankfully, Judge Evans had no reason to be afraid of Lane, but the women that he bedded and the children he spawned must have lived in constant fear of his hot-headed temper. Like the Judge said, D'Andre wanted to control everyone and everything around him but he had no self-control.

Lane will be in prison for the rest of his life and won't be able to threaten or hurt any more women or children. If he wants to bully his fellow inmates, I think they'll let him know that the state prison isn't D'Andre's "kingdom". :moo:

Convicted Detroit dad slams judge, disrupts court

By Christine Ferretti
The Detroit News

Detroit — D'Andre Lane insisted Monday that he didn't murder or abuse his missing toddler daughter and called a judge a "liar" for ordering him to prison for life.

"My daughter is alive. She's missing, she will be found," Lane said in his plea to Wayne County Circuit Judge Vonda R. Evans before she imposed the sentence.

"It's easy to point the finger at me. We will correct every wrong that's taken place in this system," he added...

Lane's housemates testified that Bianca had been disciplined with a hard stick wrapped in duct tape in the overnight hours prior to her disappearance.

Lane, in a five-hour videotaped interview with police, admitted to disciplining Bianca with the stick and that she hadn't slept well after she fell from bed and hit her head around 1 a.m.

This still makes me so angry. :jail: :jail: Ever think that if your child is not sleeping well it might help if you stopped beating her with a stick? This dude is seriously messed up. "My child was injured hitting her head so what should I do? Comfort her? Take her to the ER? No, I'll just beat her to death with a stick because she did it on purpose."

Do we believe she hit her head falling from bed?

I don't believe for a nano-second that Bianca fell out of bed, sustaining a head injury. I think that D'Andre suddenly realized that the child was unresponsive after the "disciplining", perhaps going in and out of consciousness with her eyes rolling back into her head, and daddy dearest was afraid that she would die if he didn't "keep her awake". When Bianca succumbed to the severe beating, DL spent the rest of the wee hours weaving his ridiculous tale of a carjacking and devising his method of disposal of the child's body so that he wouldn't be charged with murder. :moo:

That is something we agree on. It IS easy pointing a finger at him, because he is so obviously guilty. GUILTY AS SIN. :jail: :jail: :jail:

This strikes a little grandiotic to me. I understand that he is going to want to appeal his conviction but he will also right every wrong in the justice system? Not even "going to try", but "will". Exactly how is he planning to do that? :waitasec:
