
Teen with autism remains missing in Paulding area
HAIGHT TOWNSHIP, MI-- Hundreds of people continue to search for an Ontonagon County teen missing since Friday.
Cam Besonen is autistic and nonverbal. His mother, Jill Keeley-Besonen, says he was last seen Friday around 5:45 p.m. at his home in Paulding. He was wearing a blue, long-sleeve shirt and light blue jeans.

Hundreds search for missing autistic teen in UP
The search is near Paulding in Ontonagon County. Cam was last seen Friday.
"It sounded like he and the dad were outside, and he was playing with the dog," said Darrian Reed, a volunteer from Houghton. "The dad went inside to do something real quick. He turns around and he's not there."
UPDATE: Ground search continues for missing special needs teenager in Ontonagon County
PAULDING, Mich. (WLUC) - UPDATE MONDAY AFTERNOON: On this snowy, sloppy Monday, the search expanded today for missing 17-year-old Cam Besonen in Ontonagon County’s Haight Township, near Paulding.
The Ontonagon County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Bill Witt says hundreds and hundreds of acres has been searched and the search radius expanded Monday.
Ground teams are out in the woods Monday. If you want to volunteer, report to the Haight Township Hall (Maple Grove) and sign in. Crews with the Ottawa National Forest are also on hand to provide support.
Authorities searching for autistic teen in Upper Michigan
There are numerous agencies involved in the search, including a K-9 unit. Along with about 500 volunteers. Superior Search and Rescue are also using drone footage to search for the missing teen.
