He had a conversation with a witness, face to face, so however disguised the hair maybe, or covered the eyes, that face is distinctive, does "exist" according to Kassie Bruck in her MSM interview up thread, so he must have managed to seem safe enough for Chelsea to walk with, in her mind, to the parking lot area through some level of hogwash familiarity, because whomever he is, Chelsea would not have left with him forever. So he is either known and untouchable or he's completely unknown and untraceable, still. Would either of those two somewhat explain the search being called off while the investigation continues?

I absolutely believe he is *known*, an extended, or regular follower of the band. From the information I have read about Chelsea and her family, it seems highly improbable she would have left with someone who wasn't somewhat "familiar". He's been around before. He...is....known. Either the band or regulars of the band are protecting him, or LE is just tracking him hoping to find Chelsea.
Now *why* would anyone protect someone who is the last know person to be seen with a now missing woman?

Let's take this to a complete state of speculation, in an attempt to explain *why* this P.O.I. might be protected from exposure. What if they are known as "one of the gang", and a seemingly decent individual. "Good old Bob" kinda guy. What if this POI didn't mean to harm Chelsea, but something went horribly wrong. Maybe he gave her a drug and she died, or some sort of accident? I know this is quite far fetched, but I am trying to come up with ideas of why any group of people would hide the identify of someone like this. AND I BELIEVE THEY ARE. Opinion and speculation only.

Yep. Same thing crossed my mind. Were that the case though and you and I are speculating about it, could you imagine that LE and the Brucks wouldn't be like white on rice on it?

I know after the initial disappearance, there was a SM frenzy and if there was 1 there was 10 FB profiles posted of young men that uncannily resembled the POI sketch.

There is one in particular I am still keeping an ear/eye out for.

Why am I so certain this case is about to be solved? I have no particular logical reason to deduce that, but it's a very strong impression. Let's pray I am right!

Moving along with speculation, what if many people know who this guy is and they are sure he DIDN'T do anything to Chelsea, but he was the last person to see her alive? No one wants him railroaded, so everyone keeps quiet. Pure speculation on my part, here.

Perhaps LE objects because it might limit people's recollection. Glasses are a strong anchor, and those glasses were pretty distinctive in shape. Speculating only.

Regarding the possibility of his friends covering for him because they think he's innocent....yes....that theory goes back to my "good old Bob" statement upthread. I see this as a strong possibility.

I had PM'd Killen regarding one of the possible persons that had a striking resemblance to the POI and it sounded like he was questioned but had a weak alibi, so whether or not LE has questioned everyone is any body's guess.

They may have questioned the POI himself, but if he had an alibi and can prove they were at the party or within the vicinity they cannot hold him without more information.

So sad...

Any of our Websleuthers a local, or in close proximity to Monroe? If so, what is the "word on the street" with this case? I'm particularly interested in hearing anything related to the band. Let's not spread rumors, but what is the local *speculation*?
