Any of our Websleuthers a local, or in close proximity to Monroe? If so, what is the "word on the street" with this case? I'm particularly interested in hearing anything related to the band. Let's not spread rumors, but what is the local *speculation*?

I live in Toledo, and I do see the posters from time to time, but I do not believe the general public pays that close of attention. Sadly, unless it's in a News FB stream, seems like it doesn't get much attention. JMO

I sense more and more that unless something like this affects people personally it isn't paid attention to. I know there are so many missing person situations out there but for whatever reason I have been drawn to Chelsea's case, one could say obsessed, lol I'm not sure if it is because I am from Monroe County and live so close, or because I have children her age.

I don't think she is at the forefront or a topic of conversation amongst peers her age or not many in Toledo anyway, sadly JMO

I live about 90 miles north of Monroe in Oakland County. Most people whom I've asked about missing Chelsea Bruck have no knowledge of the case or know only a little based on what they've heard/seen in the media.

A couple of weeks ago, my cashier at the market was wearing a big purple bow on her uniform sweatshirt. I asked why she was wearing the purple bow, and she said that the cashiers and baggers were allowed to wear something festive during the holidays. I told her and her colleague about Chelsea and said that the purple bow made me think of the missing young woman. Neither young woman (both local college students) knew about Chelsea Bruck - but they do now

The lack of knowledge is baffling to me. With the connection to the Niswender girl who was murdered...one would think this would be a hot topic and urgent priority?!

BTW, what's the latest on the band leader "big Mike"? Has the band been actively involved in fundraising and helping to find Chelsea? Any decent being who had this happen on "their watch" would. Since I'm not local I havnt heard what the band has been doing to help. What's the latest on that?

No mention of Chelsea since December 2. Note that the "missing" posters of Chelsea don't include the sketch of the POI. One has to read media articles to see the sketch. Why doesn't "Big Mike" show the sketch of the POI? It was there for a short time but isn't included now :waitasec:

We're all familiar with that poster. Why doesn't the band's Facebook include the POI sketch? Yes, why isn't this "Big Mike" doing absolutely everything possible to help find the POI and Chelsea? I find it concerning he isnt feverishly posting the pic of Chelsea and the POI and doing everything possible to help.

It certainly appears cowardly not to be actively trying to find this POI, especially since it happened on his property. My opinion only.
Am I missing something? Seems like odd behavior under the circumstances. Most people would be very involved. What's up with this guy?

I understand that LE can't make the band post the sketch, but why wouldn't they? Efforts to find Chelsea should include the sketch of the individual who was last seen with her. It seems to me that Pick Axe Preacher wants to distance themselves from the individual illustrated in the sketch. :moo:

This is certainly a flag to me. Opinion only.
I certainly hope the band will actively promote that POI poster, and ask their fans to provide tips to LE. It's the right thing to do, and anything less is a huge red flag, in my opinion.

Pretty sure she is referring to the text message by "Gwen" (to the right of the POI sketch) where D is mentioned.

We can't name names here without proof, but I am pretty sure this was reported long ago and the person "D" was cleared. The date of the missing page appears to be in October, the comment on Nov, 9. This is actually old news.

Thank you everyone. That message was quite disturbing. I figured out who the "J" person in the message was, and surmise "D" is her son. What on earth is wrong with people posting stuff like that?! Good grief!
