I notice on the PAP FB page that there is another "help find Chelsea" post in late Jan. Sadly, few responses to it. Seems as if the 600 attendees at that party have for the most part, forgotten one of their own.
What does that say?

I think it's a very sad commentary at many levels.

On the FCBFB page there is Post Page post with a perp sketch that's suggested to look like the POI, but I haven't seen any significant response to it yet.

I wondered the same thing. Nuther thing that stood out, is that this kid was said to have implied that he lied because he wanted to be 'some kind of a hero.' If he fabricated the story whole cloth, then he may have fit it to the information available to him, that he would have known to be accepted as fact. Did he?

I honestly don't think this guy knows anything that could contribute to finding CB. He's young and made a dumb comment. Obviously if there were any blood whatsoever on his shirt with her DNA, they wouldn't dismiss his accounts. IMO he admitted to LE that he fabricated the entire story. No blood, no witnessing a struggle, etc. His account was fictional.

...Where is Chelsea Bruck? The monroe county woman went missing two weeks ago after she left a Halloween party. A Texas search organization is helping out. It's the same search group that helped to look for the Morenci boys.

Searchers have not found any sign of 22-year-old Chelsea Bruck since she went missing from a halloween party nearly two weeks ago.
Groups of searchers scoured a ten mile radius...

Ten-mile radius seems like a thorough search. If anything of Chelsea's was found, LE isn't sharing the information. I'm inclined to believe that Chelsea left the Halloween concert in a vehicle, so it's unlikely that anything of Chelsea's was found during the search. Most of southeastern lower Michigan is currently blanketed by several inches of snow, so it's going to be at least a couple of months before searches can resume.

Agree - it is strange. What kind of nut-case would do something like that... and now he's arrested, and has to post bond... Something seriously wrong with a person like that...

Would think most perps would be savvy about searches being done when someone is taken and would would take the victim as far away as they could -- though thugs usually leave their victims someplace familiar (feeling they can do it without being seen).

Sadly, this is still a 3-no case as far as we know, and with the snow cover you mentioned, appears will stay like that till spring.

The good news, however, is that mother nature is preserving the evidence with her blanket of snow. Agree that spring will most likely give back the earthly remains. I think that like many, Chelsea will be found by hikers, or in some random manner. If you've ever participated in a grid search, you know that you can literally walk inches away from remains and not see them. Dogs are also another great help in situations like this.

I really wish the eye witness could give more detail on the teeth and profile of the POI. It would be so helpful. It's really hard to imagine what that nose looks like from the poster. I don't know why, but I always look at noses, teeth, and ears when trying to identify someone. It seems to be the easiest method for me.

And this is an excellent paper about how to find human remains. The big take-away for me is that volunteers really need to be trained or briefed on what to look for. Otherwise, there is a high probability they could walk right past, or step over remains without noticing them! A very good read:

I want to know if, when he spoke, the witness could tell if he had "baby teeth", lots of gum showing, horse teeth, canines, chips, crooked, etc. I also want to know if his nose was pug, long, upturned, hooked, or crooked. I want to know if his voice was high or low pitched, raspy, lispy, valley boi, yupper, etc. I want to know if he spoke softly, or loudly.
Were his earlobes attached? Pierced? Small/big ears? Sideburns showing? Were the sideburns the same color as the face scruff? As the hair? Was the hair a wig?

I want to know....so much more.....

There are "avalanche" search, rescue, and recovery dogs. No need to wait for spring. Same principle applies in Chelsea's case.

study the profiles of all fans on the PAP FB page, as well as Chelsea's FB page. And most especially, those who :websleuther:dropped off after the fateful concert.

That's the link, but no sketch, which is kind of why I didn't post it to begin with - seemed off somehow. As this case has progressed, I've been fascinated by the various things that come up as possibly related and when they do. The Brucks seem to have an excellent handle on following up.

I don't want to sound like I don't have compassion for this girl, but something seems not quite right. I am not saying she is lying, but I think I will wait for more details on that. I would have a much easier time with it if the main point wasn't that she needs $10,000. That's a lot of money! I was already having a hard time with the fact that an alone, young female stopped on the side of a dark highway to help a man in a truck, but the needing $10,000 really sent up some flags for me. Why not call the police and alert them to a broken down vehicle? I don't know. I don't want to be disrespectful. I just think it could be fairly harmful if it isn't true, since he does look similar to Chelsea's POI.
