I don't want to sound like I don't have compassion for this girl, but something seems not quite right. I am not saying she is lying, but I think I will wait for more details on that. I would have a much easier time with it if the main point wasn't that she needs $10,000. That's a lot of money! I was already having a hard time with the fact that an alone, young female stopped on the side of a dark highway to help a man in a truck, but the needing $10,000 really sent up some flags for me. Why not call the police and alert them to a broken down vehicle? I don't know. I don't want to be disrespectful. I just think it could be fairly harmful if it isn't true, since he does look similar to Chelsea's POI.

Well with the 2 false reports on the Bruck case, your suspicion is merited. And, anytime money is involved, we can count on people doing stupid things.
LE will sort it out. Regardless, the sketch is close enough to merit further investigation. Let's hope we get somewhere soon.

The POI could be from northern Ohio, northern Indiana, west Michigan, or even from the Chicago area. PAP has performed in metro-Detroit, so I wouldn't discount the POI living north of the Monroe area in Michigan. ITA that someone knows this individual, and for whatever reason, isn't reporting the information to LE.

I think Chelsea knew the POI from previous music events. Since she didn't drive, did Chelsea always attend concerts with the same friends who went with her to the Halloween party? Maybe they weren't familiar with the young man but other friends might have seen or met him at other concerts.

Unbalanced people can be set off by the likes of Jodie Foster or their neighbors German Shepard. I'm not sure it would be the music that inspired Chelsea vanishing, so much as the dynamic that may exist among, cads or jerks, for lack of better possible words, if there are those who know the POI and aren't saying anything.

It has been very quiet. Nothing new added. Even the Facebook page is quieter. Seeing more purple ribbons on homes and cars around here.

My son told me that if a person is tried in state courts the double jeperdy laws do not apply. They can try you over and over again until they find you guilty. I hope we find out something soon.

I'm not a legal expert, but I'm pretty sure that is false.

You can be tried for the same crime in state and federal court because you're breaking 2 different laws, but I don't think you can be tried more than once in any court for the same charges after being acquitted. The double jeopardy clause is in the US Constitution, which has supremacy over all state laws.
